I replaced my black ink cartrige with a new one and the red light keeps blinking and the window says it has no black ink. I tried another new black cartrige and the same thing happens. What should I do?

1st check the little gold plates on back of the cartridge.
clean them off and were they make contact to the printer.
If that don't work.
Download SSC Service Utility. (Voids warrenty use at own risk free program)
http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
If that don't fix it there is still one more thing you can do.
Get a chip restetter for your cartridges.
http://dsacme.blogspot.com/2008/10/service-tool-for-reset-canon-i320.html
(this one is not free)
This will reset the chip on your cartridge and make the printer think its a new one.
I use both programs works great.

Black Cartrige Missing

Did you use a brandname ink cartridge - or is it a knock-off brand? If it is a brand name - then the cartridge is most likely defective. If it is a knock-off brand - some printers do not recognize the electronic in the cartridge and therefore don't see it as one being installed.

Canon PIXMA iP1900 cannot print the red light botton is always on or blink the reason affairs the following cartridge cannot recognized. Pls. reply my problem

Hi

It sound like either the cartridge is empty or not quite placed correctly or if you have replaced the cartridge with a replacement rather than a canon geniun replacement the printer may not like it

its may be worth removing it shut down the printer
then start printer and replace the cartridge again
also when you pressed the finish on the printer after replacing the cartridge did it go through
the recharge bit ???

i have a canon and a epson and i use replacement ink cartriges in both without any problems
but i believe there are a few replacement cartriges that are not compatible with my prrinters
so please check that the cartrige that you are renewing is compatible with your printer

many thanks

Refill cartrige and printer says replace cartrige

A lot of printer manufactures place a small chip on the ink cartridge. Combined with the printer software it knows you re-filled the cartridge. This forces you to buy new ink. A work around that works with some printers. Keep you're old ink cartridges. Replace with new and when it empties replace with you're re-filled ink cartridge. Store you're old re-filled cartridges in a dry cool place when not in use. With HP printers users keep three cartridges.

Good luck.

Printing with only the Black ink cartrige.

Yes. The printer won't operate without both cartridges installed, even if one is empty.

Dell 926 injection refill kit didnt work

The ink your purchased is likely a cheap watered down version of what your printer is meant to take. You may notice that the ink smears when you rub the page directly after printing. Why you chose to use the blue and red ink to make black blows my mind. These refill kits are insanely cheap and buying the black could not have been much more. Not using black ink in the black cartridge would explain why your print is faded. Also, there is no way to reset the ink levels on this type of cartridge. As long as the printer still prints, just ignore the ink level indicator and print until the ink runs dry. I recommend Cartridge World for ink refills because they use high quality ink to manufacturer specified volumes while still saving you money.
