Question about Whirlpool RBD305PD Electric Double Oven

Whirlpool 30" electric freestanding range, oven does not work

But the ceramic hob works perfectly. Is there a fuse that needs to be replaced and where is it located?

According to the manual, we have an electronic timer, is this the same as a digital one?

    Thanks, Mike

I;m afraid it isn't the timer that is the problem. We have a single oven model no. GR450LXHQ1 not the double oven that you mentioned.

    Any more ideas please?

Yes, this is freestanding as I had previously described, it is fan assisted and the interior light works perfectly.

    Many thanks, Mike

Thanks Mike.
Yes it is the same.
Make sure that the timer is set to manual, and not on auto or the oven will not work..
It should tell you the procedure in your user instructions.
Plz rate my solution.

Is this a freestanding or a built in oven, and it is it fan assisted, is the interior light working?

    Hi Mike.

This oven of yours is a bit of a brain teaser, everything works but the main oven you say.

The interior light is on, but no fan or heat, then all I can think of at this moment in time is that the selector switch is not functioning that selects the various functions.

Some ovens have at door switch at the front, and sometimes if these go faulty, then the oven does not work..I know I could sus the prob if I could see it, but unfortunatley in this instance, I don't think I can come up with a positive solution to your prob.

It is highly unlikely that both the fan and element are faulty, but I have known it happen.

    Once again sorry.

Electrical output requirement for a buit-in oven and cooktop

Providing the existing switch outlet iscontrolled by a 30amp circuit fuse or trip, then there is no problem connecting the 2 appliances to the same switch.
If on the other hand, it is controlled by a 13 amp breaker, then you cannot connect both appliances to this, you would have to use 2 seperate sockets.
Hope this clarifys your question.
