Reset bios for samsung np200a5b

Resetting the bios in most laptops requires you to disassemble the unit.
For many of the samsung laptops you will need to power off the device, unplug it from the charger. (Leave battery plugged in)
Close the lid of the laptop and flip it over so it is resting on the back of the lcd screen.
On the bottom of the device there should be a small panel held in by a single screw. Unscrew this and set the plastic panel aside.
You should now see the wireless min-pci card. This is also held in place by 1 or 2 screws. Both antennas also connect to this card, The antenna connectors are fragile and may be damaged if handled roughly. Carefully lift the antenna connector from the wireless card.
remove the screw(s) holding the wireless card in place. Set the wireless card aside.
Under the wireless card you will see some metal pads on the motherboard, next to them it should read "RST" .
Short these two pads using tweezers or other metal object (DO NOT SHORT ANYTHING ELSE OR YOU MAY DAMAGE YOUR ENTIRE LAPTOP) the shorting process should be done for roughly 2-5 seconds.
The BIOS is now reset, any settings or passwords will be removed.
Reassemble the laptop being very careful with the wifi antenna connectors, they simply push on, but need to be positioned in the correct way before being pushed down. Tweezers may help greatly in this portion.

Once back together, flip back over and plug in charger.

If you do not see the "RST" lettering on your model, please contact samsung support or a certified repair shop to perform the reset for you.

Forgot pass word on my compaq pc

Which password you are referring to, There are two types of password.
1. Windows Password
2. BIOS Password.

If you are referring to Windows Password, I Suggest you to Reinstall the Operating System to resolve the issue

Or if it is BIOS Password you need to Disassemble the laptop and remove RTC Battery which looks like a money penny and reinstall after few minutes. this will help you.
Hope this helps.

My Lenovo 3000 G400M Laptop's BIOS password was set automatically and unknowingly. I dont even know what password has been set. I tried a lot to reset it according to my knowledge, but all in vain. Please...

The easiest way to do this is to remove the keyboard and look for the bios battery. Unplug the laptop and remove the normal battery and then remove the bios battery for about 10 mins. Replace the Bios battery, replace the normal battery, plug the laptop back in and the password should be gone.
