Run the commands in your Accessories and also don't forget you need to Defrag and run an Anti-Virus software. The proper programs are under Start>All Programs>System Tools>Disk Cleanup and Defrag. When the housekeeping is done, if your computer is still running slow then the best thing you can do is upgrade the amount of RAM. That will make a noticeable difference.

When try to sign in it says cookies won.t allow it i neeed access to my email what do i do cookies seem to be preventing me from logging on to get to my email

I assume you are using Internet Explorer as your browser. Open the Control Panel > Internet Options > General > and below the general tab, locate "browsing history", select "delete browsing history on exit", click "Delete" > "Apply" > "Ok" (you have to do this while the internet explorer is closed, otherwise all the cookies and temporary files will be unable to delete).

Now open the internet explorer and access the site again. Hope it's gone now and you can access your mails.

If in case the problem persists, you need to use a system cleaner, (click here to download a cleaner-freeware) or run the disk clean-up wizard, open "My Computer" right-click C: > "Properties" > "Disk Cleanup" > on the disk cleanup wizard dialog box options, select the applicable location/programs including Temporary internet files and Temporary files, click "Ok".

[If you are using another browser like Mozilla firefox, googlechrome, etc..etc.. it's best and easiest to run the program mentioned above, but always run the program while the browser is closed]

That'll definitely fix your problem.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

My machine seems to slow down alot what can I do to fix this?

Delete the temporary files form the computer. To do so Click Start-> Run-> type %temp%-> hit enter. Select everything and delete it.

Same way delete the temporary files from windows well. Click My computer-> Local Disk-> Windows-> temp

Also delete prefatch under windows. ClickMy computer-> Local Disk-> Windows-> prefatch.

Try to restart your computer everyday and not just log it off.

Try and see if this works.

When I go to download adobe or anything the computer shuts out of internet explorer, then when you click on the internet it says restore session. What is wrong with the computer?

There's nothing wrong with the computer. But I'm suspecting that you have a corrupted Internet Explorer. Try to optimize the browser by deleting the Cookies and Temporary Internet File. Please follow the steps below:

1. Run Internet Explorer
2. Click on Tools > Internet Options...
3. Click the Delete button under the Browsing History.
4. Select Cookies, Temporary Internet files
5. Close and re-open the Internet Explorer

If same problem occured, try using Mozilla Firefox. If the issue would be resolved in using Firefox, then the Internet Explorer is corrupted and needs to be updated.

Have a great day!

Hi,

There are couple of troubleshootig steps which needs to be performed inorder to help get a web page load faster.

Go to Tools/options/ and delete the history, cached pages, cookies, password etc. Might want to ignore favourites.

Also type temp in run command line and then delete the files from the folder. This helps to increase the processing speed as well as the browsing speed of the accer.

This works with IE 6/7/8 though.

Thanks

Youtube problem : P

hi,
If "your browser sent a request that this server could not understand"
and "size of request header field exceeds server limit", your request
is a bad or oversized cookie. (The same thing is true for "Error 400").

For some very strange reason, it seems 9 of
10 Bad Request messages implicate Firefox.

Simply delete your "Cookies" and everything
will be okay. Don't worry about erasing them;
nothing bad will happen. You won't lose your
internet browser's "Bookmarks" or "Favorites".
The worst thing that could happen is you will
be asked to retype your username/password
when you return to YouTube and some other
websites -- that's all.

As you're dumping your cookies, you should
also erase all your "Temporary Internet Files"
and "History". This will render your computer
totally "fresh" in YouTube's eyes. It would be
best if you shutdown / reboot after doing this:

Internet Explorer 6:
> Tools > Internet Options
> Delete Cookies > OK
> Delete Files > OK
> Clear History > Yes
> OK

Internet Explorer 7:
> Tools > Internet Options > Delete...
> Delete files > Yes
> Delete cookies > OK
> Delete history > OK
> Close (browsing history window)
> OK

Peace,
B

The sound is cutting in and out and the system runs much slower

I'm assuming you are running XP. Here are some things to try:
1. In your web browser (Internet explorer) click on the 'tools' menu
2. click on 'Internet Options'
3. Under browser history click on 'delete'
4. The first 2 options are to delete temporary files and delete cookies. Do those two things.
5. Reboot
6. 'Start' 'All programs' 'accessories' 'system tools' 'defrag' and run the defrag program.
7. reboot.
8. Virus scan all files on your computer.
9. Reboot.
I will be notified if you post any problems with the above. Your computer should run faster.
