How do I install a Rockwood AMP-326 amplifier? I'd like to bridge it.

Rockwood was a very low level brand. Alot of their amps were not brigeable. If bridge able the bridge terminals should be marked (usually the positive of 1 channel and the negative of the other channel). Under no circumstances bridge to less than a 4 ohm load.

Can i hook it up to my home sound system

You must connect the amp to a power supply capable of 12VDC at over 30 amps and either have built-in current limiting capability or install a fuse in-line with the power wire.

I plug in rockwood detanator VII and it goes to protections mode

Generally if an amp goes straight into protection, the amp is not grounded well enough. Either you should find a new location to ground the amp to or unhook the power wire from the battery, remove the ground wire from the chassis of your vehicle. Strip the paint from the chassis, since it doesn't conduct electricity, and remove any corrosion or copper shielding from the ground connector. reground to a solid metal location Can be grounded to the brace behind the back seat or to the seat belt bolt for best results.
An amp draws a lot of power, there it needs to be grounded well.
Hook back up your power wire to the battery and see if your issue is resolved.

XM-2002GTW Car Amp: i have 2 dual 2-ohms solobaric speakers and im try...

I researched your amp and it looks like its not even 2 ohm stable :( the problem with these companies is they lable there amps 1200 watts MAX, that means they tested the amp in a perfect enviroment and the amp fried somewhere in the ball park of 1200 watts, your best bet is to save your money and buy a nicer amp that is two or one ohm stable... that being said the best way to wire your subs is in series

I have a rockwood Amp-479X, need directions to install

Hello william_pric,

Look on the speaker output terminals to see if there is an indication, usually a line between the positive (+) on one to the negative (-) on the other, with the word "bridged". If the bridging terminals are not indicated, you can always try one of the positives and the other negative. If there's no sound, it must be the other two terminals. Just be careful that you don't short the terminals, and don't crank the volume up without the sub connected. Some amps don't like an infinite load.

For an input to the amp from a stock OEM radio, your best solution is to use a "line out converter", connected to the rear speaker wires. The PAC SNI-45T shown in the link is one such device. This one includes a "remote turn-on" lead for the amp. You could use a cheaper LOC and just run 12V from an accessory lead on the truck. In this case, the amp will turn on and stay on whenever the ignition switch is in the "on" or "accessories" position. If this is objectionable, mount a SPST switch somewhere convenient and wire the turn-on wire through it.

Hope this helps.

dual 2 wire vc's in series for a 4 ohm load each. Hook each speaker seperate channels on the amp.

dual 4 wire vc in series for an 8 ohm load each. Hook both + to the right + on the amp and both - to the left - on the amp. or

dual 4 wire vc in parallel for a 2 ohm load each and hook each speaker to seperate channels on the amp.

Mastercraft Wet Sharpener; Model No 55-3504-4

I just purchased one of these machines - also without the manual (seems to be a recurring problem with Mastercraft).

I phoned Mastercraft's toll-free number (1-800-689-9928) and they apologized and said they'd mail me a manual.

Have the model # handy, and be prepared to stay on hold for awhile (took me almost 30min the 1st try, maybe 10min the 2nd).

Hope this helps.

Can I run two E.V. Eliminators (1-15 and horn...8 ohms) in series from the bridged output? What my wattage be? I have an EMX5000 powered mixer. Jim Price pocket218@gmail.com

Hi pocket218

Probably not the way to go about hooking it up. running speakers in series is not very practical with PA gear. The connections get messy to make as you need adaptor leads, and it is something that is seldom ever done.. When you use bridge mode it uses left and right channel together to drive the one output, combining the power. Best bet is to run the EMX5000 in stereo mode, and connect 1 speaker to each channel. You may have been trying to reel in extra power from using bridge mode, but the power amp stages in the EMX will only ever be able to deliver the same MAX power whether in bridge or stereo. the best way to get maximum power and sound pressure levels from the unit is to hook TWO speaker boxes to each channel, you get the combined increase in efficiency of the extra speakers and run the output stages at 4 ohms to get absolutely all the power available
If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me, happy to talk to you further about it.

robotek

I bought a 500/1 jl audio amp and also a w7 10 sub

if its cutting off and right back on then check your ground and your power wire makes sure both are connected good and none of your fuse's are blown, either that or you got a wire hooked up backwards in the sub.. but my guess is that the sub is hooked up wrong... that sub should be hooked up in a series or in parallel,

ok if your running just one speaker, it should be hooked up like this and 2 speakers are a different way...

this is parallel :pos to pos , neg to neg, then one wire coming from pos on sub to pos on amp then neg on sub to neg on amp but bridge the amp on your amp should be 2 pos and 2 neg in two different channels take the pos off the sub into the pos on 1 channel and then the neg from sub to the neg on the other channel,

this is series : on the sub it will go pos to neg then the other neg and pos will go to the amp, but make sure the pos and neg r on different sides of the sub, dont hook them both to the same coil

if your need more help give me your email and ill send you a pic of how to do it...
