Need large, clear diagram for MSI motherboard, type ms 7613-iona gl8e

Computer won't 'post' on power up.( PSU is ok)

Many, many thanks to Hans for his solution. I do already have this web site; but he is correct. This motherboard is in an HP Pavilion p6799uk Desktop PC, and I believed the problem to be somewhere on the M.B. I required a large, clear engineering type drawing as an aid to faultfinding on the board, but in the end I was able to manage with the HP spec drawing, which Hans was so quick to supply! (the fault has turned out to be a faulty BIOS ic. Apparently, this doesn't appear to be a common fault on this particular board (lucky me!), but the problem is solved Once again, many many thanks to Hans Pedersen and FixYa for such a quick and accurate response.

Hello this mainboard belongs to the HP/ COMPAQ support:

https://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c02014355&lc=en&product=4262655

The manual:

https://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c02014355&lc=en&product=4262655&

You can`t find anything at the msi support site.

Do you get any picture (blue screen of death) ???

Any beep sound ???

This fault could be: ram failure, harddrive, graphic card, cpu.

Or sinply mainboard is dead.

It`s always difficult to do fault finding on a mainboard.
Many thing can go wrong.
And it will sometimes cost more
than a new mainboard or pc to solve the problem.
Ask a qualified repair shop (hp support) about known issues
with this mainboard.

Good luck

SOURCE: Power switch, reset switch, power led connections to motherboard?

Hi ramjet007;

This is strange because MSI doesn't have information on the 7548, since it was made directly for HP. Here is a diagram of another MSI similiar and usually they have their pins on their jumpers pretty much the same. You would use JFP1, And Pin's 1&3 would be the hard drive, 2 & 4 would be the LED, 6 & 8 would be the power switch, and 5&7 would be the reset switch. I know your motherboard is setup differnently, but your JFP1 should be in the right hand corner all by itself.

Front Panel Connectors: JFP1 & JFP2

Good Luck and don't forget to leave a rating.

Thanks Mark

MSI N1996 Motherboard P6NG Neo-Digital MS-7505
the bottom sticker on the mobo tells what it really is.

MSI motherboard, just bought ? used"?
ever see it work before.
did you go to msi.com and the manual on setups"?
are you using the onboard VGA port to a VGA monitor.
The monitor shows no signal means exactly that.
This motherboard has 1 power jacks, the big one 24 pins
and the 4pin at top left of the fan.
you must use PSU v2.2 or newer to get that 4 pin power.
covered on page 24 in your manual, here.

and CPU and fan, (correct)
and memory
and a power switch to the power switch jack.
next time post all stickers on mobo so we can see what it really is.
they made vast numbers of motherboards. a fact.

Replace battery MS-7613

The battery is round and shiny. Pick up one edge of the battery and slide it out if it's socket. Obtain a replacement with the same numbers or equivalent 3 volt coin cell and slide it back into it's socket. When you reboot, immediately enter BIOS setup and set the correct time and date. Then continue to boot.

New memory stick 4 gb doesn't work

you cant do that. memory is always in PAIRS. The sockets are Colour Coded for each PAIR. two blue two black. the largest may need to be 1st Pair. suggestion: take all 4 out. put 2 largest back in as 1st pair see if pc is ok. then add 2nd pair. see if ok. https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c02014355 https://support.hp.com/lamerica_nsc_carib-en/product/HP-Pavilion-p6000-Desktop-PC-series/4079858/model/4123110/document/c01989040 https://www.mrmemory.co.uk/memory-ram-upgrades/hp/pavilion-desktop/p6324uk?search=hp+p6324uk

My MSI computer won't startup. It has an

It appears that you have only checked the power supply and the on/off button. There are many reasons a computer won't start.
These are only two. Have you "stripped down" the system? This means removing everything but the CPU, Memory, and video card. If it starts with only these things attached, then you can rule out the mainboard, memory, and video.
Next remove the memory. If it starts but you get memory error beeps, then it could be one of the memory modules.
After all that, you can then figure it's the mainboard or the CPU.
As for circuit diagram, I would think these would be very hard to find.

MS6714 won't turn on.

ok , we have like 10000 post like the here and vast are old mobo.
a relic 2004 pc with a relic dead CMOS coin cell RTC battery sure.
no batteries last 13 years, like yours. never.
so goes dead every time you jerk AC power , the CMOS NVram goes dead. and resets it self or goes random as all do.
and is pure endless CHAOS. that. and only 1 cure works,
The PSU must also have working +5vdc_standby wire.
must,
OMG not one SATA port on told usless dog, gee all went to the toxic lead recycles years ago. but yours I guess.
OMG 20 pin power plug PSU to MOBO, not 24 (modern)
the top failure evidence is fans dead.
and the 10second power button held in reset fails ever time.
pin9 is standby, violet wire, +5vdc, not 1 ,2, 3,v but 5.
or power button is dead. for sure the south bridge chip is not dead. the be 1 in million shot.
seen vast PSU fail for this even the power/on/off pwr_ok signals bad.

psu2-undefined-undefined-0_0.jpg now the list
1: coin cell below 2.9v is dead.
2:pin 9 dead.
3: PSU bad.
4: power button bad, but gee a jumper wire to the pin pair always works, to jack marked power/on button./
i bet #1 , every 5 to 7 years repeats, endless. till totally *****. fate.
entropy = fate
