The most common problem for your case is that the settings at the Netgear router block the web site you are trying to visit. Go at the router's settings page, locate the firewall settings and temporary disable the firewall. Check the results. In case this solve your problem, either disable the firewall or modify the existing rule that block the url that you visit. Alternative you can check the block site list at the router settings page (sometimes called parental control) and remove the url from this list.
In case of a problem or clarification or further details needed, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer. Also clarify me the model of your Netgear router and the site that you have the problem. If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

1.The action taken in the video transmition on the web has to be indicated by a logo of activity that is taking place during a video download.
2.The round circle is simply the action icon chosen by the web host to indicate to you that video is on its way from one computer storage to another computer screen.
The conditions that cause videos on websites to apear momentarily are explanable
1. The uploading process is still taking place by the web administrator broadcasting the video. for example, the admisnistor of the web would be still recording the video only causing momentary displays at a time.
2.Th e computer system infrustructue is build to only transmit a few loads per second considering several factors
a. High impact cameras produce cristal clear pixles during download or records. Any camera without such functionlity only causes delays or poor transmittion capabilty especially when send and received over cables.
3. Finally, the internet telecommuncation set up has several causes to the condtion of momentary downloads.
a. High speed broadband achievaable by subscripton preference from an internet provider could solve slow motion on multimedia transfer on web sites for example.
b. The kind of network infrustructure set up where cables are faster transmittion lines over phone lines cause the website transfer to appear momentarily, a meams for the computer to only produce results based on the kind of structure option provided.
c.The features of the web hoser allowing videos to moves away from the web site. A web host could simple disable the features making posible fast networking or only wanting to allow a few transmittion at a time.
d. The computer infrustructure on the receiver of the video is simply dissallowing programs from arriving expediantly to be displayed on screen. A situation like that is discussable
1. Your computer has to have the features allowing for videos to display like needed. for example, video cards a high multimedia apabilties could be installed, the multi-media functionality of the computer could be adjusted to display videos with all intergral pixels possible.
hi it only means that the company network has a secured firewall which you are not allowed to view facebook or other networking site the solution to this issue is to use proxy server or if you know someone from IT department to allowed your profile for your computer to be change and allow it view your facebook account. thanks
Consult your user manual for this information. It is possibly a firewall issue that is not allowing this web site or it is the ISP that has blocking or the web browser itself is blocking the site due to security settings.
if you look in start - settings - control panel you will find an icon named windows firewall
This is part of windows
If you double click on it you will see 3 tabs. Important for you is tab called exceptions. There you will find yahoo . If you check it no more firewall message wil shown when accessing yahoo.
Be sure if you have router too there is another firewall.
- A firewall is a set of related programs, located at a network gatewayserver, that protects the resources of a private network from users from other networks. (The term also implies the security policy that is used with the programs.) An enterprise with an intranet that allows its workers access to the wider Internet installs a firewall to prevent outsiders from accessing its own private data resources and for controlling what outside resources its own users have access to.
This method will hard reset the wireless drivers back to
default settings. What i want you to do is right click "computer" select "manage"
and then "device manager", a list will populate, then click on the + sign next to "network
adapters" and right click on the network adapter and "uninstall" the
device, reboot the PC and wait for windows to detect the network
card and install the drivers for it, this will appear in the system
tray (bottom right hand side) when its done try to connect again.
Are you referring to the Linksys SSID showing up when you browse for available wireless networks? Also, are you in an apartment building or otherwise relatively close to other houses/residents? It is possible that you and a neighbor both have Linksys APs and if neither was secured originally, your neighbor could have been connecting to your AP and vice versa. This definitely would explain slowness especially if you or your neighbor does any type of video or audio streaming.
One way to test this is to shutoff your Linksys router and view available wireless networks on your computer. If "Linksys" still shows up, it is most likely someone else's router/AP.
As long as your SSID shows up and you can only connect to it via the WEP key, your AP is secure.
Let me know if you get different results than I explained above.
Hi, Use should add arp proxy setting as the following: Go to Interfaces and then click on PPTP/L2TP server from the PPTP/L2TP Page go to the Add ROute Tab. Allowed Networks should be : All Nets under Proxy Arp you have 2 Boxes: One is: Available and the other is Selected. Under Available click on LAN and move it to Selected. now save and activate and it should work.
