My alpine car tv/dvd unit works but the screen turns blank
Even tho its blank everything works and can listen to the songs/dvds. if i press the visual button then the screen comes back. then it will be alright, but then everytime i restart the car the screen will go blank in 5 secs. can any one help.

broken screen or connection to the screen from opening too much, or, the dvd menu wasnt activated, but, it should automatically turn on when dvd is inserted. Bad dvd or really scratched dvds may not allow it to turn on.

You are simply in blackout mode. This is so at night you aren't blinded by the glow of a screen. Here are instructions right from the manual to turn on or off.

When Blackout mode is turned on, the monitor display will turn off to
