Kxp1624 not printing to paper

kxp1624 not printing to paper even with new ribbon, sometimes just a very, very light printing that can't be seen. Have tried two computers, another printer kxp2123 doing same thing. Any suggestions

If I remember well, there is an ajustement for the printing head to fit different paper thickness. You may set it closer to the paper sheet.
