Re: Xbox 360-Unreadable Disc
Microsoft Xbox have some common problem like red lights, E74 and Unreadable disc. Microsoft is providing extended warranty for red lights
problem, Means you will have to spend some money in order to get this
problem repaired from Microsoft also you will have to wait for 3-4
weeks to get your Xbox back. There are many reasons disc read error can
occur in your Xbox like your disc might not be clean, laser might also
be dirty and many more common problem. I would suggest you to first
clean out the disc, you are using. If that don't solve the problem you
can also take the help of DIY guide available at Internet. I think you have got good no. of options to get your Xbox repaired, Choice is yours.

360s are known for laser problems and heat problems on the motherboard, I would replace the laser first,if that fails....buy a new 360,the motherboards are almost the same price as a new unit that has a warranty.
i had this problem with my xbox and its due to either the laser or the magnet within the disc drive that holds the disc in place. the magnet may have come loose which mean u can either open the drive up to try and reposition it, or replace the drive all together. my suggestion would be to send the xbox to microsoft if under warranty or send it to a third party company to see if they can fix it. buying a new drive for your xbox involves some very complex firmware flashing which is not advised
I had the same problem but i sent it in. They said it was the eye reader error. Or the thing that reads the disc. Try buying a brand new game and try playing it. Alot of times when i have disc read errors i put the disc in where the xbox 360 part at the top goes in facing the xbox. Try that to see if it helps.
I suggest that you either have problems with the Xbox console or call Microsoft and tell them your problem and ask them if they can send you a box so you can send them your xbox so they can fix it. Also, another solution is if you have warranty get a new xbox console and dont give your hard drive back so you wont lose your memory, If any other question email me at email@example.com or response here at fixya.com.
sounds like your dvd drive is having issues. try to do a online update. that may fix the non reading disc issue. as for it damaging that cd and only that cd i would just buy a new dvd drive. most of the time when a cd comes out damaged its due to a belt spindle. which is the part that spins your disc, but your saying its only doing it to 1 game. try a update if that dont work purchase a new dvd drive. make sure u get the correct one
Hmm.... I encountered this once. Check the disc and check for scratches. Then, use a dry soft cloth (must not be wet at all) and rub it around the disc but don't rub the center of the disc. If this doesn't work swap the game. I mean give the Madden with the problem to EB Games or Gamestop and swap it for a brand new one. It should work fine.
theres a known problem with the hitashi dvd drive in the xbox 360.
the only solution to this is a home repair job, look up on youtube on how to do this, although this isnt recommended as it voids warranty.
so the best way is definitely just to ring microsoft and send ur console in for repair.
