SOURCE: 46" rear projection all bulbs

regarding sony rear projection tv. Red line across top of screen, and red and blue halo's around left side of people or objects. double vision at top of screen. Would this be a costly repair? TV is 15 years old, never had a problem, great picture.

I have a model D52W23 and I have taken the back off but still do not see the bulb location. I see circuit boards but no bulb at this time. Is it located behind the circuit boards?

that model doesnt have a bulb it has three picture tubes. Chances are YOUR needING a deflection board for that model its the large board on the left side. You can get replacement deflection board from www.tvrepairworld.com

Is the convergence adjustment option still listed on the on screen menu or has it disappeared? Thats a very easy chassis to repair so let me know if the option has disappeared or not and I can asssist you with how to fix it.

The only issue with it is it has a double vision screen (The colors are kinda messed up)

JUST GET MAGNET AND TRY TO PASS IT BY THE SCREEN, OR GET IT CLOSE TO THE MESSED UP COLORS, I HOPE IT WILL HELP, LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS

Double vision..

Adjust the convergence in the menu. If it will not adjust then solder connections on convergence ics or ics themselves need replaced.

Double vision on jvc 48" rear projection television

No that is not correct
The problem you describe is a convergence issue which can be quite costly. The alignment alone is very complicated and more importantly time consuming

Too much red + double vision viewing

This seems to be a convergence failure on your TV.
If you have hand basic soldering skills and a soldering iron, this might be something you can do.
Check this link for the parts you need.
Goo Luck.
