Question about Canon PowerShot A720 IS Digital Camera
I have power - when i depress the button to shoot it has a clicking sound but will not take a picture.
That is not a matter of settings.
To reset settings you just remove the battery, ensure the wheel selector is on camera mode, and on restart use the camera Settings menu with reset to factory settings option.
When it does not shot like that it is likely an hardware fault.
A technician must take apart completely the external casing to get to the switch contact, test them , and solder back or replace switch button, that you can buy calling Canon.
If you do it yoursel you risk to transform your camra into a bunch of bits and screws. Better having the job done at a repair shop.
To give you an idea here is disassembly for Powershot A70.
