In WinXp: Click START then RUN.
type scanreg /restore from a command prompt .
Next, remove the device from Device Manager.
Finally, re-detect it using the Add New Hardware
Wizard in Control Panel
.

I hope this helps.

Assus 865 mother board sound driver problem for vista

Probably that Vista has installed generic sound drivers. Have a look in Device Manager (On the Start menu Rt click Computer - Manage - Device Manager) and see if any unknown or problem devices showing.

Download and install the proper drivers from Asus or Intel (motherboard chipset is Intel).

Sound card is not showing on device manager

ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R58182.EXE
Thats the link to your audio driver. Try installing that and see if it fixes your issue. If it doesn't, then the sound card on your motherboard may be defective, or the sound is turned off in the BIOS.

Sir my windows media player is not running , it shows sound divice is not installed so how can i install sound divice

Check for the sound driver on ur system... see if the same is installed or not... To acess device manager in windows system... u need to click on Start-> then go to Run -> in the run box just type devmgmt.msc & u'll get th device manager to show up... In the device manager just check for sound video & games controller... If there is a yellow ? mark then u need to reinstall the drivers or else if there is a yellow exclamation mark then there is a driver conflict for the audio device on ur system...

Sound problem

Hi thr,
If u r runnin Windows XP, Go to control panel. click on system->hardware->Device Manager n check to see if the sound drivers r installed properly. If the lists shows a yellow exclamation mark on PCI DEVICE, It means u need to install microsoft universal audio articeture drivers first. u can search for it on yahoo or any other searchengine to get the link. download and install microsoft uaa drivers, Uninstall the PCI device from device manager and re-install the audio drivers. I hope it works this way. Thank u

No audio in my laptop prisario 700

Hi,
First u check it in device Manager, whether sound driver is install or not.If sound driver shows yellow mark then sound driver is not installed.I tell the following steps to install sound drivers.
First u install the UAA driver. After installation,u restart laptop.Next u install the Audio drivers.Installing this driver may result in an error. But continue with the following steps to get the audio driver installed correctly.
1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver.
3. Select "Install from a list or specific location"
4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"
5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list.
6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
7. Click Browse C:\swsetup\****** folder . Select the .inf file, click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.

If ur laptop have Windows vista operating system then u click on Start - Programs - Recovery Manager- Recovery manager. In that recovery manager,u click on next button. Its shows the software reinstalltion page. There u select the NO and clink on next button. Its shows the Hardware drivers reinstalltion page.U select YES and click on Next button. Its shows the Hardware drivers list. There u select the Audio driver and click on next button. After reinstalltion,u restart laptop and check it.If u get same problem then u take from nearest service center.

Thanks

No sound driver found

Usually if its onboard sound or a sound card that came stock with your system Windows Update should be able to find it; go into device manager and uninstall your sound device…then reboot and allow Windows to find your sound device then allow Windows to search Windows Update for the driver (this might take a minute).
