Question about HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

We purchased a new windows vista computer and it was not compatible with our hp C6180 all in one printer that we already had with our old windows computer. I downloaded the compatible software for windows vista about 1 month ago and it worked fine, but now I'm having the same problem that it stops in the middle of printing and prints out a lot of pages with weird symbols. Do I need to re-download or what do I need to do?

Just uninstall any drivers you have installed and then reinstall it.Also do this for all printer related softwares. Also this can happen if your computer is infected.SO scan your system using any of the online scans available.almost all good antivirus companies websites will have link for an oline scan.

My inlaws have a new hp pc with windows 7... the have an older hp t45 that they would love to have work... there is no windows 7 driver and the vista compatible printer has been dropped from the windows...

Your question is confusing to me - they have a new computer with 7 and they have an older computer with an unknown system (you allude to Vista - not at all that old!) and they have a "classic" printer which they want to work on the new computer ... is that the sum of it?

My suggestion is get the old computer running --- tune it up a little with CClean, Comodo's RegCleaner, and Spy bot - Search and destroy. All free to download and freee to use forever. Defragment the drive using the windows defragmenter. After you get it going, update the OS (Windows I presume) at the Windows Update Site. Get the latest driver for the printer. Next step is to get a 4 port LinkSys router - and build them a network. You will be the hero (not that you arent their hero already ...)

I have a new HP computer with Windows 7 and when I tried to download the disk for my HP F380 printer it says it is not compatible with Windows 7. Is there something I can download to make them compatible?

You might try compatability mode in 7, or you might complain to HP and ask them to prepare a new driver or ... gasp! ... you could retire your printer!

A much better approach is this: Where is your "old" computer? Network your old with the new and share the printer through the old computer and everyone can use it.

You will need a router, if you don't have one already. Need one? I recommend LinkSys by Cisco.

I am trying to install a C6180 All in one printer on a new computer which has Windows Vista Home Premium. The software that came with the printer is compatible with 98E, Me,2000, and XP. What can I do?

Copy and paste the below link to your internet browser address bar and hit enter. This is the Vista driver for your printer. Just click on the blue download button and install when done. Good luck, ParrotHead PC Repair

Setting up HP C6180 to wireless laptop

if your desktop and laptop connected with same network then open the printer windows on the desktop computer, do the right click on it and select the share option.

after that select the share for everone and click on ok.

then on vista computer open the printer windows and click on add printer after that you will get the option local printer or network printer.

Select the option "network printer: and click on next and click on find the printer and select the printer and click on finish.

Hello, I recently received a new computer with the vista operating system. I already have a hp c1680 that worked just fine with my windows xp operating system. my install disc does not support windows...

delay is normally caused due to fault with the driver or software.try uninstalling the driver and software and reinstalling them.

Bought new computer with windows vista, my printer [deskjet f380] is not compatable with vista, any thing i can do,or will i need a new one.

Hi! Windows sometimes offer a compatability issue report and should direct you to the site where Vista related drivers can be installed, if not try Hp's website support/downloads for Vista compatability issues. I'm sure if the printer isn't too old then your luck may be in and you'll get the required driver/s.
I hope this helps!

I recently purchased a HP Pavilion computer with Windows Vista. I am trying to install my HP Office Jet 6310XI printer and I am receiving a message that the printer is not compatable with the computer

Your printer driver probably isn't compatible with Windows Vista. I would check the HP website and see if they have an updated driver for your printer.

HP PSC 2350 Printer/Scanner & just purchased a new computer (Windows Vista) & the discs I have for this printer/scanner only support Windows 2000, XP not Vista.

You can set compatability to windows 2000. I presume you have vista. start menu. control panel, programs... then you will see set compatability or similiar (my control panel won't open at the moment). use the wizard to walk you thru the steps. select the program you are having issues with. It will allow you to run the program as win 2000 compatability.
