Unfortunately, because these devices are designed so tightly, it's very hard to get all the water back out of the system. Cleaning it all out and removing any residue is something that requires taking the system apart. I would recommend you consult a professional for that. In your position, I would try iPod Sickbay, even though this isn't an iPod. They're very good at what they do and the prices are reasonable. Good luck!

The cap will not come off of the tank

The black thing that looks like a sports bottle top has a screen at one end to filter the solution. It gets tightly wedged into the solution bottle - pry it out (carefully). You could try a knife to (very carefully) pry it loose from the solution tank. Just don't cut yourself or deform the tank top.

My ds has water damageand the green lite comes on then goes of in a couple of seconds how do i fix it i am 14 and cant afford a new one HELP!!!

Unfortunately water damaged DS Lite can cost more repair it then buying a new, as a video game tech there is a very low chance for your system to live again. I recommend you to take off your battery asap and leave your system off for about a week. For all your video game console repairsstar.gif

After 24 hours water damage does sitting a nintendo ds in rice after 24 hours work.

Most likely not, because the water damage has already damaged the circuits and the other components of the DS, and if there is any water inside the DS, the rice can't get inside of it like the water, and won't absorb it.

DS Lite Console: mu hyper r4i card is not loading my ds games...

It could be that you lack the compatibility for the newest games. You might need to update your software, but the R4 Hyper is an old card that doesn't get regular updates.
You might have to get used to not being able to play the latest games unless you get a new card that does have regular updates from the manufacturer like the R4i SDHC

My ipod Touch was in my purse and a to-go febreze

You can try putting it in rice for about 2 days, this can fix water damage in ipods and cell phones.

You must take your DS to a repair technician to fix it as it would be many things causing the flash on/off cycle.
If you know how to repair electronic devices then check damaged top screen, loosen L2, or blown F1 and/or F2. Or maybe water damage is your problem.

Can DS game cartridges be cleaned/fixed?

1. Use a q-tip to gently rub the gold-colored electrical contacts on the cartridge. You can use a bit of hydrogen peroxide or cleaning alcohol, but be sure to let it dry completely (12-24 hours) before putting it back in the DS.

2. Use a pencil eraser to gently clean the electrical contacts. No need for liquid, but be sure to gently remove any residue from the eraser before you plug in the cartridge.

3. Buy and use some electrical contact cleaner on the contacts. This is available in places like Radio Shack and usually comes in a small aerosol bottle with a little brush attached. Again, let it dry before inserting it in the DS.

Ds lite

Components may have come loose on the board, or damaged solder joints. Water damage can sometimes only appear after water has had time to seep, unless knock helped throw some residual water around inside, onto things it shouldn't touch.
