it should not require an adapter the bigger usb portion goes into the printer and the smaller will fit into your usb on your computer back ports. if the ports are to big you bought a mini usb adapter on accident. let me know if this helps.

Pavillion a1620y spontaneously restarts at various times. There is no clear pattern to the restarts.

Right click on 'Computer'.

Properties

Advanced Settings

Startup and Recovery

Untick the box 'automatically restart'.
This will give you time to read what the error message is when it does it again.

If it still restarts, your system is overheating. Check the fan is spinning inside above the processor.

If it isn't, simply replace the fan (unclips and uncouple a cable).

Hello. Re: HP Pavillion 7965 Where is the power switch located on the system unit?

Hi.

The on off switch is located in the front side, right below the drives.

Most HP PCs do not have PSU power switch at the back.

Regards.

Ginko.

At start up go to the BIOS by selecting the proper F key. When in the BIOS mode look for instructions at the top or bottom of the screen to hit F keys like F10 for System Recovery.

Put disk 1 and restart Windows. When it restarts, it'll start recovery. At some point it'll ask you to switch to Disk 2.

How to restart hp pavillion 7965 desktop

Hi there. Try these steps:

1. On restart, press F8. This should bring you to a screen with various boot options.

2. Select "Last known good configuration". Windows then may load correctly.

3. If this doesn;t work, try the same thing. This time select "boot in Safe Mode". If Windows now loads in Safe Mode you should be able to restart and Windows may load correctly after this.

4. If these two both fail, you may have to repair Windows...
