Problem for Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router

i have a broadband wireless router wrt54gs.all lights come on and then when i hook up internet it says that i have not been connected.i have tried to upgrade firmware for this product and it wont download says not online and i know am online

Remove the cable from the modem to the router at the router in.
Plug into the network card on you computer.
See if you can connect to the internet. If you can, then the problem is with the router. If you can not, the problem is with the modem.
Please reply what you find out, and I can help you from there.

- This is my problem too. I have a wired linksys connected now. I found a wireless broadband wrt54g in my attic and so i connected it and the interent light is off but if I connected my computer to the modem it works just no connection to the wireless router the power light comes on but to internet light. I called linksys but my warrenty was up I dont want to pay for extended warrenty if I dotn have to. Does anyone have any suggestions? thanls- nataliadianaFeb 12, 2009
