My computer shut down while installing the vista pack and now my hardrive wont open it goes to a blue screen. I went and purchased a new copy of vista premium which is what my computer was running and started in cd/dvd/ drive and it does nothing but still go to the blue screen is there a trick getting past this to reinstall my os. please help

Can you boot your computer into safe mode? (Press F8 and hold it while the computer boots...this will take you into the advanced start-up menu.) If you are able to do this, you can also try booting with the "last known good configuration". Also, please indicate what kind of computer you are using with the brand and model number. You may also be able to restore it to factory condition.
