I have a FRIGIDAIRE GALLERY FRONT LOADING DRYING. I know this is an old dryer but it is just not heating. We tried cleaning and changing the dryer duct from the window to the dryer, it worked for a day. we took off the back and cleaned that as best as we could still no heat. When i look up the model # nothing come up. What else can we do. The model number is FDG437GHSO serial XD01910787 please help
This model number shows you have a gas dryer...take the top off ..take a putty knife and push in on about a inch away from each corner between the front panel and the top..now look straght to the back you will see two therostats ,,replace them..onthejob
Change the heating coil aand limit switches...it will be one or both that are bad
If it runs then the fuse is not blown so it is most likely a broken element. Start here:
TIP: you do not need to spend 90 bucks on a heater pan and element you can get a restring kit for 1/3rd the price, Just off the top of my head I would say you need part number 5300622032 restring kit. No more than 25 bucks.

Hi,
If you are having problems with your
gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor
goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working
properly.
if
you dryer is gas check out this gas
no heat
tip....
If you have an electric dryer, you can
have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to
heat.
check
out this electric
no heat
