Re: xbox plugged into a higher volt outlet

If you can obtain a new power supply unit(external, of course), sometimes referred to as a "Brick", that would be your best first test. However, if that doesnt work, then the unit is pretty much cooked. It is not recommended that you disassemble your unit and attempt to repair it yourself, though if its that broken, you dont have much to lose, unless it's under warranty. At that point, you'd be at a loss for parts, as they dont really sell Xbox parts in your local electronics store. So what you're looking at is either a fried brick, or fried internal hardware. Could be a cheap fix in the former, or a new unit in the latter, there. Check Ebay or similar sites to find a replacement external power unit. As with any tech problem, fix the cheap part first :)

I plugged 110 volts xbox 360 into 220 volts outlet. and it's dead. what will i do?

Unless the item has internal fuse, it is burned up.
Look for product manual.
Many times, there is a glass fuse rated for unit voltage.
Replace fuse.
Each fuse has specific markings.

My xbox 360 has 110V. i have portable transformers that say 3A 250V, 6A 125V. i live in the philippines so our outlet has 220V. can i use it for my xbox 360 kinect?

I live in Norway and our outlet has 230V, and I can use my Xbox + Kinect without any problems. And basicly, the Xbox 360(both original and slim) can be used on outlets from 210V up to 240V safely.

I plugged my 120V GameCube into the 220V outlet of an AVR which has a 110V outlet. I know, very stupid. Anyway, I heard the fuse of the AVR popped and it turned off. I removed from the main outlet and...

gamecubes are NOT 120 volts you got that from yahoo answers other websites say 12 volts which sounds bout rite i think you need to rethink the problem and post again if that little blue box takes that many 9 volt batteries to power (just an example) then that is not a gamecube but a nintendo god (treat with care)

I Accisentally plugged My 110 Volt xbox 360 into a 220 volt outle

The reason for this is the power overwhelmed the circuit boards and burnt them out you may need to talk to someone up the Game shops or go to and see what other people think. even if microsoft tell you to DONT send it in for repair as it gets rattled in the post and rattling the console causes the Open Tray Error an extremley annoying error. hope this helps

If you do you will damage the internal components and it will break. Do not try it.

Ps3 power

Try and find a better/different adapter, maybe one the is specific for the PS3 or gaming in general. Don't use one of those universal ones, could fry your PS3.

Not sure what kind of outlet/plugs you guys have out there (I'm in Canada, eh) but I've provided a couple of links that should help you out. Personally, NYKO is a great choice, quality stuff and they have lots of accessories for the PS3.

Due to the volt difference; Europe (220v) vs. Canada & US (110v)
you MIGHT also need a power converter. Check the console, it will probably be able to handle 110v-220v but double check to be sure. I have heard all kinds of answers and opinions about it but best to check your PS3 yourself. If it odesn't support both voltages then you will also need to get a power converter.
