Question about Dynex 32 in. LCD Flat-Panel HDTV

Remote control seems to hesitate

Being new to all of the digital stuff, i had to really figure out how to get things to work properly. the only problem i have had with the television is that the remote will be changing fine, and then suddenly it stops working for a 15 to 30-second period. it starts working again without any other problems noted. my wife wants to trade the whole thing is and get another one. i think that the problem is either the processor in the television getting bogged down with the flipping (which will be solved when we get a digital cable box and remote), or the remote has a glitch (which will also be solved with a universal or other replacement.

You should have a remote control to proceed. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this site too. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some online sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

Bought a new Sony flat screen and the channel changer on the remote wont work

If it is its original remote control, there should not be a problem like this; as all the other buttons works properly. If it a universal remote control, some buttons on it might not work properly. The only thing to check is, try with an other set-up codes to Sony brand TV, with the universal remote control.

I need the remote control codes for a digital lifestyle tv model# LT 42323

I have found nlaremotes.com to work really well for me. They are able to get you a remote that is just for your device (not a vague universal with limited functionality). The Digital Lifestyle codes seem to be a national secret.

I sat on my remote and now it doesnt work is there a way to reprogram the remote?

Check if the remote is still transmitting. You can do this with a digital camera. Point the Remote at the camera's lens then start pressing buttons on the remote. If you see a blinking light from where the remote transmits on the digital camera's LCD screen, the remote is functioning properly.

If you do not see it transmitting, replace the batteries. If it still does not work, the only thing you can really do is get a new remote, there is no way to reprogram the LG remote. You can get a universal for for pretty cheap or you can contact LG to get the exact replacement remote for your TV to ensure it has all the functions needed.
