You will get date on pictures if you print pictures by digital printer through PicBridge option in camera.  PicBridge link will give you option to enable print date on pictures.

Ok, I really need the model of Camera, but here is something that is available on some Canon Cameras

When in the mode to take pictures, press the round "Function Set" button and change the recording pixels to "Postcard 1600 X 1200". "Postcard" is the only setting that will allow the time/date stamp to be recorded on the picture.

Then press the "Menu" button and scroll down to "Date Stamp". You can select "Date", "Date & Time" or "Off". You can only do this when your pictures are set to the "Postcard" mode.

It appears as though this is available on a limited number of models, and many do not support this feature.

I have photos saved on a Kodak disc and when I load them through Kodak easy share it shows me the picture I load into my computer not the date the picture was taken. I need to know date picture was taken.

Hi
Rather than use Kodak Share For the date, use it purely for finding the file name of the picture. Then go to Windows Explorer, open the Kodak disk, and find the file name you are looking for (using search is probably easiest). When you have found the file "right-click" on the file and then click on properties and a box will come up with all the information you will need.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

I am trying to set the date and time to appear on my photos

Hi.There are digital cameras that inprint the date on each photo you capture..It depends if your unit has support for it..what is your camera? you can refer on the user manual on setting up your camera..

• The built-in memory provides extra memory up to approx. 40 MB (F3) / 50 MB (F2) when your memory card fills up.

• With slideshows complete with music, you can get an emotion-filled slideshow with a variety of slide change effects and matching music.

• You can record the name and birthday of your children or pet and embed the information of the name and at which age in year and month the photo was taken on the photo, and choose to print either or both of them on the photo.

• The functions and settings used most often are quickly and easily accessed via the Quick Menu function.

Downloading will not use the original EXIF date for photos, either 1) by creating a Folder named YYYYDDMM or similar, or 2) by saving it with jpgs. How can I get the EXIF date to save?

The EXIF date and the file system date are two totally separate things. As long as you use tools that maintain the EXIF data you will still have the original information.
I rename my photos using XNview so that the name of the file is based on the EXIF date. i.e. <Date Taken[y-m-d]>(xxx).jpg where xxx is the three digits from the original filename.

Need to print date on photo

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.
