I have something similar. Mine is kind of a cross between popping and humming. I have a Vizio 60" plasma.

NO VOLUME WITH A VIZI TV 55INCH E550VA PICTURE IS FINE

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

Loud popping noise and spark coming from red projector

I would guess you have a High Voltage Leak at the Anode Lead Cap where it Mounts to the CRT. This is not a area to mess with You are better off calling a professional to fix it. It may be a little difficult to confirm if it is a intermittent problem.
Hope this helps,

I have a Rockford PL2-110 and intermittently I get a loud popping noise out of nowhere. the sub sounds good the majority of the time but occasionally it will make the noise more and more often. any ideas?

Have you double checked the wiring ( + to + and - to -)? When hooked up correctly, a sub should push outward when bass hits. If your wiring is correct and your amp isnt too big for the speaker then its about to go out.

Technics SU-G95 Amplifier, Intermittent popping/crackling noise

The heat sink has the power modules attached but also has 2 power transistors that become disconnected from the circuit board when the heat sink moves or flexes. The pins on each need to be resoldered (it helps to bend them a bit too, prior to soldering). Had the same problem on the same amp today and that was the fix. There was no sound other than a clicking when the volume control was rotated.
