Question about Intel D945GPM 945G Ewith Windows XPress Socket 775 mATX Motherboard with Video Sound LAN
I installed a 1GB ram (hynix ddr FSB400) on my intel d915gag MB after reboot my cpu fan rotates at fastily and in the process makes a lot of noise i want to reduce the noise as was previously Actually certain fans speed up with increase in CPU Processing n create noise n not due to dust.......Mine is one of these.... i dunno abt the fan but my Processor is a P4 3.4G on an Intel 945 motherboard Any word on tht??? :S
You should check and make sure the inside of your computer isn't dusty. Dust will wreak havok on fans and shorten their life. Plus it likes to build up between the fan and heatsink which will overheat your processor. Take the fan off and spin it with your fingers. I like to open the little sticker on the bottom and put some 3 in 1 oil to lubricate it. A smooth spinning fan is a happy computer. It also reduces noise that a dirty fan makes. Hope this helps you.
