Question about Computers & Internet
Thanks for the suggestion. I'd rather not remove the case if I don't have to. I went into bios, some drives are enabled and some aren't. I don't know which one is the cd-rom drive. The list is Diskette Drive, Drive 0: SATA-0, Drive 1: SATA-2, Drive 2: PATA-0, Drive 3: PATA-1. How do I tell which one is the cd-rom drive?
It's usually PATA-0. If you are finding trouble in finding it, u can open the case. You should see a small Battery seated on the motherboard. Remove it and and reseat it after 30 sec. This will reset the BIOS setting to default keeping all the devices enabled.
Please ensure power cables are unplugged while doing this.
