Question about D-Link AirPlus DI-614+ Wireless Router

Has my router gone bad?

Power went out last night briefly two or three times. Now I notice my internet and internet phone aren't working. Re-powered modem, router and (vonage) phone device. No lights at all on router. Hooked up modem straight to phone device, and phone worked. Hooked up modem straight to computer and received this internet service. Does this mean my D-Link Router is toast?

    I replaced the power cable (definitely went bad) with a universal adapter and the router lights came on, but flicker. My desktop computer connects to the Internet, but now my laptop does not see my wireless network. I pressed the reset button on the back, but still no luck. Is the router bad or am I just not using the right power cable?

If no power lights come on... it looks bad, but try another power adapter on the router before tossing it... could be that.

have you tryed turning off computer, router, and modem if you have one. then unplug all connections from router (phone line, ethernet net cable and power cord). Then wait 2 min then plug all back in, and turn on modem, router, then computer. We lost power yesterday for 3 hrs and I needed to actually turn in all off and unplug power cords then turn it all back on to rest and reboot them to get them working properly. Hope it helps.

Power light blinks three times then is completely blank for a few seconds then blinks three times and so on in a loop. Will not boot up and no other lights come on.


Sorry I should have been clearer, the PC if fine and up until last night the Router was fine but tried to boot up the Router this morning and the above problem is happening on the router. Tried a reset but still get the problem

The power went out last night and now the dsl box will not conect


Do a reset on your 2wire by pressing the reset button of it for 15 seconds while power is ON and then after that power it OFF for 10 seconds and then reconfigure your unit and check if its working already....

Unit will not turn on anymore


First reset all settings of your router to factory defaults.
You can reset it with RESET button it is in back side of router.press it for 10 seconds.
Then check led status.
Disconnectr all connection from router then reconnect then check.
Soemtimes power problem create this problem .
Change your main power supply also check after change power adapter.
check ADSL cable ethenret cable to .
If still face same issue then your router has some hardware issue.

2701HG-B lights went out and then power died


I've had good luck with that same 2wire router, but Att is right, the ethernet & internet lights should stay on. Have you tried moving the ethernet connector to a different port on the router? If they're going out, some component inside is failing, but it could be specific to that one port, and you may be able to use another without a problem. (Just a thought.)

And there's a full user's guide with some troubleshooting options and diagnostic tools available (to some subscribers) here.
But it sounds like it may be time for a new router...

My router will not allow me to connect to the internet, when the computers are plugged into it, it worked fine last night.


Try to do a power cycle. unplug the power to the router and the modem for 30 seconds. After that power on the modem first and wait for all the lights to go solid, then power on the router. Check your connection again

NOT WORKING AFTER POWER OUTAGE.


are u getting all the lights on the router?if yes then connect the router with modem n if its wireless then turn off all three devices
then turn modem on first n wait till the lights on the modem get settelled,then turn the router back on n the computer,n check whether the computer is picking the wireless or not,if yes try the
internet.

ATT 2wire 2701 HG-DSL lite on, but bad connection


If you have a 2wire HG2701 it experiences problems. You will need a new modem or a new router. I have one but it has the same problems. I went to FRYS Electronics and bought an speedstream modem. WORKS PERFECTLY
