Well, when you deleted the virus files you probably by misstace deleted the soundrivers to.
I asume that your MoBo is an Asus K8V since you posted your probelem here, so here is a link to download new sound driver, and other drivers for your MoBo if u need any.

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=K8V-MX&type=map&f_type=4

Select your OS and download the files you need.

Good luck to you.

What will i do in a brand new external hdd from freecom with 298 G,when i connect to my laptop dont show any icon, what is wrong with may external hdd?

please try unhide the settings..

Steps are as follows:

Open My computer,
Tools, Folder Options,
Check Show Hidden Files,
Check show system files..
Then check your files from the My computer icon..

The problem would be sometimes once your hard drive being infected by the virus, it will hide your files especially the NOTEPAD.EXE virus. It replicate your original folder and hide it, then it will show a copied folder which is also thesame with your original folder.(ex: the original folder would be PICTURES, then once it infected by the virus, the PICTURES folder will now replaced as NOTEPAD.EXE folder, then the original was been hide)..

Thanks

Hi,

The problem is caused due to the virus infection. Copying and pasting text is not an issue however the problem that the virus caused you is copying and pasting files. Installing a license antivirus may help you with the problem. Once the problem has been fixed you need to backup the files and reinstall the operating system because some registry or files might got corrupted due to the infection.

You cabn try to install and clean your computer using this. click here. A 30 day trail antivirus just fillout the form and it will send you a link a verification email.

Thanks for using Fixya.

i don't think its a virus, you may have inadvertantly deleted your audio driver files.
go to :

support.hp.com

and type in you hp model no. it will then give you the audio install. download and run it and restart. Voila!

About virus disinfection

Yes it can but you have to know which files are virus files and which files are not. Since this is practically impossible to know each and every file, it is best to use an antivirus because it's been programmed with all the virus files already so you don't have to guess. That being said, look for files with seemingly random names and recent dates. When in doubt, you can google search a filename to determine if anyone has flagged it as a potentially unwanted program. This method is not 100% nor is it recommended; deleting the wrong file can cause your computer not to boot up.
