Just about everytime I play a dvd it will freeze after about 10 minutes. Sometimes after a couple of minutes it will come back, but usually stays frozen until I open the disc door. Any ideas would help. I really don't want to have to replace it if I don't have to.
It is possible the laser inside is dirt and needs cleaning....but I assume you have done that?

My Zenith plays store bought movies fine, but the ones I record on any DVD RW tend to skip something awful. The discs will play fine on all my other players, just not my Zenith. And it seems that certain trays are worse than others. Like #5 has lately not wanted to play even store bought movies.
