Question about Hoover Washing Machines

The writing for choosing a select cycle have rubbed off

The numbers and writing located beside the circle dial to select a certain wash on my washing machine have rubbed off after use. I cannot see what cycle I am selecting and am worried of damaging my clothes. I cannot find my manual so can't check on this. Please help!

In your browser bar type in; hoover after sales service
Click on instruction manuals.
Click on laundry
Click on washing machines
Then follow instructions, I do not know if if this will help for certain, but it may provide information you require.

Thanks.

I have just moved into an Apartment with a Gorenje wi 62112 Washing machine, I have no manual Can anyone tell me what the numbers on the Dial mean What should I choose for a general wash.

Gorenje has some documentation for their washers here: http://www.gorenje.com/simplicity/en/washing_machines/simple_manual_for_washing . The numbers indicate the water temperature (in Celsius) for a given cycle. The common choices are a cottons load in hot water (60 degrees). This is great for towels and other whites. The mixed load is for permanent press that can be in warm water (40 degrees). Then there is a cold water cycle for delicates (30 degrees). However, you should check the fabric care label before choosing the cycle.

I hope this helps.

How do i reset washing machine AEG 64840

You can choose the right programme for any type of laundry following the descriptions on the washing programme tables (see «Washing Programmes»).
Turn the programme selector dial to the required programme. The programme selector determines the type of washing cycle (e.g. water level, drum movement, number of rinses) and the washing temperature according to the type of laundry.
The pilot light of button 8 starts blinking.
The selector dial can be turned either clockwise or anticlockwise. Position "0" to Reset programme/ Switching OFF of the machine.
At the end of the programme the selector dial must be turned to position "0", to switch the machine off.
If you turn the programme selector dial to another programme when the machine is working, the yellow pilot light of button 8 will blink 3 times and the message Err is displayed on the display to indicate a wrong selection. The machine will not perform the new selected programme.

the machine control opens both hot and cold water valves and then the machine sensor monitors this through a water temp sensor in the fill line till a certain amount of resistance is encountered so it could be a faulty sensor, machine control board or also if a certain type of wash is selected it wont use any cold water at all during the whole wash cycle

HI, this timer mechanism is damaged, and i recommend the replacement of this defective timer control module asap. it can be accessed by removing the cover that is located behind the control panel. the timer is screwed onto the panel from the backside.

replacing this timer control module will correct this issue.

Hi. your problem is actually a rather complicated one.

Timer and selector switches The timer switch is usually the largest dial on the main control panel. It can be either a mechanical device much like a simple clock, or completely electronic with just a digital readout.

The timer runs the washing machine in a pre-determined pattern. It provides the electricity to all of the washing machine components at the correct time and for the correct length of time.

The Start switch is usually part of the timer knob. When you set the timer to the proper cycle, you either pull or push the timer knob to start the cycle.

The selector switches or knobs vary from machine to machine. Most washing machines have one or several switches or knobs on the control panel besides the Timer/Start switch. These let you adjust certain settings; for example, the water temperature, spin speed, timer cycle, and so on. Normally, the washing machine completes the cycle selected on the timer, regardless of how you set these switches and knobs.
