can anyone tell me the the size of the cable in mm for the IOD? I know it's a 9V 1000Ma but I need to know the connection size for the in.

Can't imagine why Linksys trys to show polarity using the universal symbol for a DC voltage. AC is NOT polorized. Why don't they also show the required AC voltage under the Power socket.

Maybe it is a rouse to confuse us old folk!

Both the voltage and the polarity should be printed on the case of the router. The polarity should be right next to where the power plugs in.

The polarity information will look something like this:
--(-(+))--

If you take the router into a local Radio Shack, the clerk will probably be able to tell you which power supply you need.

    The BEFSR41 uses a 9VAC supply. The tip/center is +ve.

Please allow for at least one last reply from techs before rating the solution. Sometimes we can come up with the right answer after giving the wrong one.

    Thank you!

Power off the router by unplugging it. Also power off the DSL or cable router. Shut down the PC. Located on the back side of the router is a small reset button. Using a pen press and hold for ten seconds. Same for the DSL or cable. Power every thing back up starting with the DSL/cable, than the router and lastly the PC.
