Coby mp4 705 4GB headphone issues

I recently bought a Coby Mp4 705 in december of last year to resolve the issue with my last mp3 player's headphone jack which for some reason was loosen I guess it was dropped or something so i was forced to hold the headphones in a certain position just to recieve sound, after about what 25 days I am experiencing the same problems with this MP4 that i have for no known reason because I have not dropped this MP4 if ever rarely do but now I am forced to do the same thing as i did before with my last player which really only gets worse, I would like to disassemble this Mp4 for i could at the very least super glue the phone jack into position but I see no way of doing this, now i did do this with the old Mp3 player but it had screws that i could loosen it, unfortunately this Coby mp4 does not have any, also that last attempt did not end well because I superglued the Mp3's headphone jack in the wrong position (the diviation was so small it was ridiculous so it was either hit or miss...and i missed...permenantly....... oh and the store that i purchased this from stated that all sales are Final.....I see why.......

if there is no safe method to dissassembling the MP4 than I would be more than happy to hear alternate solutions.

Thank you in advance.

purchased from F.Y.E Aventura malll Aventura, Florida, United states.

I managed to get the MP4 open (with minor damage such as the power button being dislocated and the secures on the side of device broken) and I see that the deviation of the phone jack is very very little if nonexsistant.......... you could imagine my aggravation when I came upon this, I had enough problems trying to open the device as is especially since i was doing it wrong *black casing is attached to all the components of the device the metal back casing is not....* so here I am with an Open Coby 705 that cannot play music because no sound is emitted through the headphones (or any headphones for that matter...) I'm still looking but solutions are still ver very welcome.

Hey why don't you see if you can pry the two halves apart like an ipod, and then re solder the headphone jack. Or try wedging something around the edge of the jack to hold it where you want it. try this first. here is a link to youtube search.

I need help with a coby mp4 player

Trade it in for a new one. If it's not seen by your computer, then most likely there is something wrong with the hardware.

I have bought a few Coby devices and they all work great...Out of the 3 that I have bought, I had to take one in to be replaced due to my computer not seeing the device.

Broken Headphone Jack

Replacing it is expensive. However the player is bound to have some sort of usb port on it. You can buy some usb headphones for about £15 and use those.

Reset the unit, put a pin in the hold on the back where it is labeled 'reset', that should resolve your issue.
