I jsut put in a new SD card into my phone. Trying to update the artists list (or album or genre or any other ones) it starts "loading" as usual then it reboots the phone. Thanks in advance for any help.
The problem was down to the name of a file ...and justice for all. The 3 dots before "and" where read by the phone as a back-up command. Removed the dots adn tried again and it is now working perfect with a 16GB card
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. goodluck!

You do not have to have an SD card to save things to your LG KU990: that said, you only have very limited internal inbuilt memory of just 100MB!
On this amount of memory, your 5MP camera, MP3 player, DIVx player are practically useless: if you do not have a 2GB micro-SD card, I would go an get one immediately as they are pretty cheap especially in proportion to the cost of your features-rich handset! Just make sure that you get 'standard' micro-SD (not higher than 2GB and not labelled micro-SDHC High Capacity).
Hope it helps!
reformat your card through your pc. don't go for quick format. if it doesn't works after that also then get a software 4 low level formatting. if then also it doesn't works ask me again.
kindly rate my solution.
Have you put in a memorycard? You can use the phone as a hard drive only when a memory card has been installed on it.
If not you can only download music on your Viewty by using the LG Suite software that came with it which is very slow.
After you have put in a memorycard go to PhoneSettings and something called "Connection" right below Security. Then tap USB and then MassStorage. Connect the phone to your PC by a USB cable and now you should be able to transfer anything from your pc to your phone by dragging and dropping.
I have not tried WMPlayer but would not be surprised if it will just work fine.
dear, i think you are copying just list not the songs.so u have to save the songs individually to phone where they are lying and then go to media player that u have installed in phone (if u have) and put it on list.
Instead of loading the music manager, click on file in the LG Suite box, and then click 'content'. This will connect without a problem (at least it did for me, despite music manager not working), and then drag and drop music from your pc files, onto your phone. Hope this helps.
Go to phone settings > connecttivity > USB Connection > (select MASS STORAGE)
then plug your phone to you pc via usb cable
your phone will whould now be in Mass Storage Mode. you can use it like a regular removable drive. Take note. only the external memory (micro sd card) is accessbile and not he built in memory of the phone
everytime u put new music onto ur memery card it says updating because it has just got new music on it sometimes the music saves onto the memory card click onto ur memory card see if all ur music is in there sometimes when we put too many songs on the phone it takes abit to update as theres so many new songs going onto it
