If you give us the model number then we may be more accurate with our answers as this was you a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 but I think the procedure would be similar across all samsung tablets.
Hello,
What you are seeing is the dot matrix lock code. Simply put: instead of a combination of numbers, the lock uses a pattern of "Connect The Dots" combinations. This is exceptionally hard to just crack without the proper knowledge and equipment. Instead of just designing it to wipe your phone/tablet, Google designed the lock to ask for you to log into your Google account after so many failed attempts, so that you can reset the combination. The easiest thing to do would be to intensionally guess incorrectly until this event occurs. If you have a problem with this, then the last-ditch solution would be to preform a factory reset. Should you need to preform this, please feel free to ask about how to go through the process. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, or simply reply.
