E44W46LCD Lamp Timer Reset

I just replaced the lamp in my TV. I am unable to turn the TV back on (i believe the timer has reached it's max, therefore not letting me turn it back on, so i cannot access the menu). Is there any way to do this w/o the remote. I have std remote, it does not have the "?" button it tells me to push to reset timer.

To reset the lamp timer, hold the "enter" button on the tv and the "mute" button on the remote at the same time. Once the menu pops up, hit the right arrow on the remote and confirm the reset.

I would guess that's it's a little too late for this answer now, but for future reference... ;-)

Natron_44 has the correct procedure, it worked for me.
Hold mute on the remote then hold the enter button on the TV while still holding mute. After several seconds, a menu will pop up. Press the 'right' arrow on the remote and press the center button to reset.
Of course, this will only work if your TV turns on and you see picture.

I was told only the service people can reset this timer---we just changed our bulb and it is still orange---we just left it--not worth paying for someone to come out and reset it

A special service remote must be used to reset the lamp timer. If the set did not come on before you changed the lamp then the lamp is not the problem. If it was working before you changed the lamp make sure the lamp is seated correctly also the lamp door must be on.

Tv image will not show , it turns off it says ... something about the lamp inside the tvneed to be replaced?

The lamp timer on your unit has reached the max hours. it needs to be reset. There should be a reset feature in the menu. You should replace the lamp. It will brighten up your picture too. It must be done soon as once the timer reaches a limit your unit will not turn on at all. Check your manual for proper lamp type and replacement proceedure.

I turn the tv on it stay on for one second then it goes off thats when the lamp button comes on its red. then the red light comes on and it stays on although the tv is off the red lamp light is still on

Your lamp timer may be maxed out which means you should change the lamp and reset the lamp timer. When the timer max's out it won't turn on till it is reset.

I have a zenith e44w46lcd tv, while watching it, it turned off and now will not turn back on again. Green light flashes for a bit then goes back to red. Also lamp light is on orange. Do I need to replace...

More then likely your lamp is faulty, you can replace this lamp urself, but on zenith models the lamp comes as a bulb only, you will have to change the lamp and use your original housing. Also lamp timer will have to be reset. The only reason you might need a repair man is to go into factory mode and reset lamp timer. But if you are mechnically incline you can swap the lamps yourself..

Lamp reset

The correct way to reset the lamp timer on that unit is to hold the menu key on the remote and push the enter key on the front of the TV at the same time. Hold them (it's about 9 or 10 seconds) and then a screen comes up asking if you would like to reset the lamp timer. That will reset the time but if your problem is a dark picture that's probably not going to fix that.

Zenith Lamp Light on

When the lamp is replaced the lamp timer must be reset. The timer is set for just so many hours and then the warning lamp is illuminated. The only way to reset the lamp that I am aware of is with a zenith programmer remote. Perhaps you can find a local lg/zen service center to allow you to use a programmer and instruct you on resetting the timer.
