I have a whirlpool WFS1073CD and getting a red light indicator saying clean pump. It appears to be washing normally but wont go into the spin cycle. I have drained the water via the filter plug under

Hi Maureen
Wow.... at least this model has an indicator light telling you what the problem is. Many machines don't!
I think the reason it won't go into the spin cycle is that the water can't exit through the pump.
The usual cause is that a sock or something is caught or blocking the pump.
Power OFF of course.
Follow the drain hose back to the pump & try unclipping the hose off either side to feel for a blockage with your finger.
Pump blockage is a common occurrence in washing machines.
Good Luck

Whirlpool AWOD6727 washing machine displaying error code "F23". Help please?!?!

Could be a slow drain time issue. Excess wear makes it drain slow.

Sud light comes on and f 2 and it don't spin

Hello there and thank you fixya
Whirlpool F2 = Long Drain error code.
If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F/02" is flashed.
Press, PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the "F2 error code" will be displayed.
Potential Causes:
(1) Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
(2) Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
(3) Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump.
Please post me back if you need any further assistance in inspecting the pump or replacing the pump
Also if you would please give this solution a rating it helps our customers get the best possiable service ok?
Best regards Michael

My whirlpool front loading washing machine keeps saying F02 and not draining out the water. why? and what does F02 mean?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. F/02 error means Long Drain. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F/02" is flashed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
  • Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
  • Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
  • Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
  • If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.
Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Red light flashing, says 'clean pump'.water not drained away either.

Then you probably need to take pump off and see if there is something blocking it either in the hose from tub to pump or pump itself.

Whirlpool 6th sense awm8163 programes never stops now cannot get it to work at all

The pump is at the lower left of the front of the machine covered by a white plate. Use a bowl to catch any remaining water when opening the screw thread inside and then clean and replace. If it is truely beyond repair then a new filter pump can be bought from ebay for £3 or thereabouts.

I have just drained mine manually in this way and am going to run it empty with soda crystals to glean a few more days use whilst the new pump arrives.

Good luck :)
