Question about Gateway M305CRV Notebook
I was operating my comptuer off the battery and then went later to ac power. When I turned my laptop on and after a few minutes I noticed that I was getting a low battery alarm even though I was using ac so I turned my laptop over and disingaged the battery and the computer turned off. So than when I went to reboot with just the ac plugged in and no battery it booted with a no screen at all, black. I have it hooked up to an external monitor right now and it works fine.
Could I have fried the inverter/backlight or monitor its self when I removed the battery while it was running?
Check to see if the monitor shows up in the device manager. Right click 'my computer' click 'manage' click 'device manager' look for any yellow question marks beside the 'monitors' heading. It is possible there might be a loose connection. You should take it to a shop (unless you comfortable dismanteling your laptop) and have them check it out. I hope this helps. Let me know how you made out, and please rate my answer. Good luck!
