Question about Samsung SCH-i730 Pocket PC

Data The phone turned off itself because the battery died. When I tried to turn the phone on, the screen realigning showed up. I realized I might lose all the data in the phone including the address book and messages in the inbox. Is there anyway I can recover those data after the phone is turned on?????????????????????? Or, is there any specific way to turn the phone on can save those data??????????

Sorry wrong button; - I do need another solution. Since it happened to me before when the re-aligning screen showed up each time, the data in the phone would lose instantly, very similar to your pocket PC losing data after battery died if you forgot to charge it. My question is how to recover the losing data? and is there any good/ different way to manage the re-aligning screen menu in order to save the data if they're still in the phone before re-aligning done (assume)???????????

There is no way to recover data from a device like this if it loses power, data is stored in volatile RAM that requires a constant power supply in order to retain data as opposed to non-volatile storage devices such as flash RAM or a Hard Disk Drive. If the device lost power it lost all the data the moment it went off not after screen alignment. The only way to ensure you don't lose your data is to save it, copy it and/or back it up either to a memory card or by synchronising with your PC.

If you managed to turn the phone on, i can assume that you charged it back up again, if so, i cannot understand what the screen re aligning has to do with losing any data as the screen re-aligning is normally to do with setting up the touch screen so that when you touch a specific part of the screen, it knows exactly what you are wishing it to do regards the shortcut or menu. You should be able to collect any data or addresses using the software provided and a usb cable enabling you to sync and transfer all entries to your pc, if you have Vista this is can be done automatically when you connect as your pocket pc is instantly recognised.

i have found a site where you can download a trial version of a backup programme for windows mobile, and if you find it a solution to recovery after data loss, you can then purchase it.

LG Thrive Charging Issue

It's possible that your battery has gone bad. The first thing I'd do is a factory reset (I know this means you'll lose all your data, but the phone store is going to do the same thing anyway as part of their troubleshooting process). Then, after resetting the phone, see if it charges.

If not, take it to your nearest service provider's location and ask them to troubleshoot it (if you have a protection plan or warranty).

Otherwise, I'd start by replacing the battery (you can get them online or from your phone store). From what you've described, it sounds like the battery or POSSIBLY the charging port. It's not uncommon for smart phones to have their batteries suddenly die on them. I've had several LGs and a Samsung that have done this to me. Out of the blue, they will just quit charging and every time it's been a bad battery. Replaced the battery and the issue went away! That's the cheapest place to start, anyway.

Good luck!

My Iphone turned off by itself, the battery was not dead. Now I can't get it to turn back on, how do I turn it back on?

If it's under guarantee = go back to the shop
if not: try restoring it via iTunes

Connect your iPhone to your pc, run iTunes
Hold power and home button together for 10 seconds.
If you're phone is not totally gone you should see a cable plug on your screen.
Then click restore in iTunes
Let it do what it needs to do.
!!! you probably will lose the latest data on your phone that was not synchronised!

If none of the above works: go to a certified reseller (preferably an apple store)

My samsung screen is white but it works ive tried everything, this hbas happen before screen going white and the battery had to be without juice to come back. it works but ithe screeen is white

hi, the main reason the screen turns whits is due to the thin ribbon that sends the data from the circuit board to the screen being damaged what happens is that the thin copper wires that are inside the ribbon ware and then break causing a short to the screen and this is what turns the screen white. this happens on most flip and slide phones as the ribbon moves when you slide or flip the phone so over time it becomes brittle and you lose the connection and this turns the screen white.

sometimes it will right itself if you open and close the phone a couple of times but this wont be a long term fix how ever it may be that bad that this will no longer work, its not expensive to get this ribbon replaced but taking you phone to a small phone shop would be your cheapest option.

Blinking red led while charging and tries to turn itself on but screen just goes blank and keeps charging

This can be caused by the fact that you ran your battery so low that when its charging the phone tried to turn itself on but loses all power instantly and dies try charging the phone through the computer you might have better luck with getting it to run properly.

Phone turns itself off

The first thing to try is a hard reboot - this means taking the sim out for 20 mins and leaving it off. Put back together and test it to see what happens. If this doesn't work i would try your sim in another phone and another sim in your phone as you may have a lose sim connector. If your phone still turns off you know you've got handset fault. If the other phone turns off you know you've got a sim fault - if the later speak to you service operator.

If handset fault i would frist recommend (if possible) trying another battery as the charge indicator will not always relate to the battery correctly. If avaliable try looking for a software update from the Ericsson website - this may solve it. If still no luck then i would suggest a factory reset (THIS MAY LOSE SAVED DATA SO BACK UP IMPORTANT THINGS FIRST) if this doesn't work then it would suggest to me it's beyond repair and if under warrenty try getting it replaced.

Hope this helps.

Menu didn't come out

Switch the phone off and take the battery and SIM card out for 10 minutes then restart. That should work.
If it does'nt reset the phone to original settings, you'll lose data stored on your phone.
First turn it OFF, take the SIM card out.

Press * 3 send at the same time and turn phone on. Keep them pressed until the reset/logo screen appears.
Give it time to reset.
