Ok so what you want to do is unlock your i phone right? well there is nothing that anyone can tell you to do just by pressing a button what you have to do is get a program to rewrite the soft ware which you can do your self but if not done right you can really mess up the phone you can go to this website and follow the instructions well good luck

Ok so i put my simcard in and it said locked sim so wat do i do

If you bought the iPhone used, it could be already locked to a carrier. If the iPhone wasnt previously purchased at full price (or jailbroken) then it will be locked to a specific carrier like Rogers or AT&T. If thats the case, you will have to contact that carrier and ask if they will unlock it, otherwise jailbreaking the iPhone can unlock it aswell, you can find guides through google on how to do it, Apple doesn't support it.

If you did buy the phone new, then try plugging into iTunes (make sure iTunes is fully updated, i think 10.3 is then newest). If it recognizes it and doesn't activate the SIM card, there will be an option to restore the iPhone (Erase and reinstall the operating system. If it doesn't recognize it at all through iTunes, follow this article to force it into Recorvery mode, which can let you restore it. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808

I have an unlocked iPhone 2G,which I've been using on Orange UK for 2 years. I want to change to Vodafone (better reception where I live). I think it was probably originally an O2 phone (as they all were...

If your Iphone is officially unlocked then it should work with any (other) network compatible SIM card - just insert a friend SIM on another network (or just get a 'free' Vodafone pre-paid starter SIM for testing) and turn-on the unit - if it is locked in any way, it will tell you!
When you do a factory reset, your unit will normally reverted to original 'o2' BRANDING and defaults: this can only be removed by reflashing/reprogramming your iPhone with 'generic' Apple Iphone firmware. 'Branding' in general in an unlock hanset will not stop you from using most of the resources of your new network but 'unbranding' (andor 'unlocking') can always be performed by a qualified technician.
Hope it helps: let me know how you go! Have fun.

I have an apple iphone from Guam with version 3.0.1. I cannot open it here in the Philippines. What will I do?

Not sure what you mean can't open? If you mean it's locked to a carrier from area it came from. Upgrade the software to 3.1.2 and then unlock it. Google search for QuikPwn and download their software to unlock it.

IPhone 2G hangs at "slide to unlock" - restore not helping

2g solution

3g solution

if it still gives you problems then you have a hardware issue, apple won't touch a jailbroken iphone so hopfully you have the apple care protection. Restore it to factory settings and try to take it in for service.
