Question about Canon PIXMA MP180 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Machine will not switch on

I have not used the equipment for some months, and it has been stored in the garage. Now I have plugged it in once again, and I only get a warning light (orange triangular light bottom left below display panel). The on/off button does not work, and no other buttons do anything either.
Is there something which needs to be reset?
Many thanks

How to reset brother printer dcp1511

All electronic equipment with some intelligence in it, can be rewetted, by switching it off, removing the power cable and then connect and switch on again.
The machine should start the internal "program" from scratch.
In the manual it says you should leave it off for several minutes, if you want to initialise the copier again.

I am recieving a comm.error when faxingit also shows memory full when the page prints

Hi

You usually get a Comm error due to poor performance of your phone line. Check for any visible issues with the phone line. Check whether the jack is plugged in properly and the wire is not cut.

If you are sharing the phone line then check that any other devices are not interferrring in device's performance. Disconnect any other equipment on the telephone line, i.e. answering machine, modem, extra telephones, switching devices, adapters, etc. Make sure the telephone line is connected directly from the jack (socket) on the Brother machine labeled "Line" to the telephone wall jack (socket).

There may be a problem with the way the Brother machine is connected or you may have a bad telephone line. Try resending again. If the transmission is successful, the problem was created by the connection of the Brother machine and the other devices on the line. Reconnect the other pieces of equipment one at a time to see which is causing the problem. If the error continues to appear on the report, try connecting the Brother machine to a different telephone line or have the line checked by the telephone company.

HP C6180 Incessant Switching On and Off

The best way to deal with this issue is making sure that the printer isn't plugged to a surge protector
and performing a partial reset
you can achieve this by unplugging the power cable and pressing # and 3 and then replugging the cable and hold the # and 3 buttons until you see the lcd lit up
also try the # and 6 and then # and 9 to reset it to factory defaults if the previous doesnt work

Konica 7030

The problem is a fixing unit abnormality code, could be caused by a bad temp. sensor, build up on sensor or maybe the machine experienced a voltage spike. Power the machine off using main power switch and sub power switch, unplug IP (Image Processor) and any phone lines that may be hooked up.
1) turn on power (both) sub and main while holding down the 2 and 5 buttons on op. panel. a screen will come up.
2) Select 1) software switch setting
3) using the arrows on the screen select dip switch 3-1
4) touch the off key on the LCD to change the data to 0.
5) press return and power equipment off and back on again.
Good luck.

Dead Printer

hi i am a certified Canon repair tech for this printer. these machines are prone to power faluire due to power surges. this machine uses very low DC voltages so when you have even a small AC power surge the eletrictronics in this printer get over charged and they blow. most of the Canon machines that i have seen with no power have been the main logic board at fault not the power supply. if the machines are under 13 months old they are still covered under warrenty. you can call Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON and they will locate a repair center near you. hope this helps.
