I would start by removing the elock software permanently. Go to RUN and type msconfig. Click the services tab and find elock. Uncheck it and reboot. Then go into add/remove programs and get rid of elock.
Post again if you need more help. Your drives should now be assigned letters normally but if they are not we can get past that too.
here is the elock guide http://static.tigerdirect.ca/pdf/Acer_eLock-Management-For_Desktops.pdf it will shed some light on what is happening. You may be able to disable the elock service from start -> run -> type in services.msc Look for elock service by scrolling down to it. Right click properties, change the startup type to "disabled" and stop the service, on some elocks this is enought to stop it from working. but it depends on if they've changed it recently. post again here if you need furthur assistance.. Reagards.
one thing you can try first, is to disable the elock service from start -> run -> type in services.msc look for elock service right click properties startup type disabled and stop the service, on some elocks this is enought to stop it from working. but it debends I can fix this and I have done it many times now..
You don't need to pay acer the 100usd to get the password removed,

I have a working workaround solution to this problem - save yourself 100usd (what acer requests from the unlocking) and press the ask me button to send me the free(FREE POST TO FORUM) request, Il give you the workaround, will take less than 10 minutes to solve the problem, really not worth it to pay 100usd for something this silly.
Il possibly soon make a video tutorial on how its done but for now, send me a request and il tell you how to get rid of the problem.
Can you expand a little on the problem?
