Question about Whirlpool Dryers
The heat of the dryer doesn't turn on most of the time.
Since it works sometimes my first thought is the solenoids.
The gas valve is turned on and off by these solenoids but you will need an OHM meter to check them and even then it can be missed. The OHM meter checks for continuity, to see if there is a break somewhere inside the solenoid coil and if the dryer works "sometimes" this break must be making contact "sometimes". Two wires go to the solenoid so, when the two leads from the meter are connected to these wires then it might show that it is good until you start moving these two wires around.
Hope this helps.
