I recently downloaded the new MSN messenger, and all of a sudden my webcam wont work. It works perfectly in Skype. Every time I send my webcam I get, " We couldn't start your camera device. Please check that your camera is not currently in use by another program, and then try again. "

When someone tries to send it, I get, "   Messenger is not available right now. Please try again later. (0x8ac70202) " .

When I go to tools, and click the Audio and Video Setup, I get " We were unable to run Audio and Video Setup ".    How can I fix it?

Best guess is that some software from hotspotmshield is still lurking. You did uninstall it through Add or Remove Software didnt you? Try using a registry cleaner like CCleaner, re=boot and re-install your internet f necessary. and see if it's ok.

No webcam detected. If you are using an integrated camera, make sure that it is turned on

You are using a device which works only with Win-Seven OS or higher. I've got the same problem with my optical mouse (without cable) .... Try to re-install your camera's driver in your pc... if this doesn't works... try to install your camera in a PC or Laptop with Win-Seven OS

Basically bought new webcam Hercules® Webcam Deluxe, its been working fine. it crashed while on yahoo, so i removed it from usb. the programmed desided it didnt wanna respond open so i have...

It sounds like you need to check your USB controllers through Device Manager as well as reinstalling Yahoo Messenger.

1. Go to Device Manager and verify that there are no yellow exclamation marks or question marks, if there are reinstall them.
2. Test your webcam after this point because one of the USB drivers should be your webcam driver.
3. Reinstall Yahoo messenger and test it with your webcam.

By deleting drivers in Device Manager, your computer will attempt to do a reinstall only if your computer needs that driver.

There was a problem signing into yahoo messenger please try again a little bit later (81003005)

Make sure you spelled your password correctly. Make sure the caps is on of off depending on your password. Try closing out yahoo messenger and restarting the application. If that does not work reboot your machine. If that does not work uninstall your messenger then reinstall it. If that does not work contact yahoo for further assistance.

I've bought many different webcams. My original webcam use to work on my computer, but recently, nothing works. Microphone works fine, but every camera that I plug in says it is not connected, Ive tried...

For that you must follow these Steps.

1- you please make confirm that ur pen drive ports are working properly & please make confirm that ur pen drive port did not got disabled in the Bios Setup.

2- You also confirm that all the drivers in the Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus Controller are installed properly.

If your camera is detecting then you please install the proper drivers of that & hope ur camera will work properly.

When i am on msn and want to put on webcam a message appears in a conversation saying Messenger is not available right now. Please try again later. (0x8ac70202)

This might be a compatibility problem between your webcam drivers with the new Windows Live Messenger program. You may want to:

1. Update your webcam drivers and see if Windows Live Messenger can detect it when you run the Audio Video setup from its Tools menu.

2. Or you can downgrade back to the older version of Windows Live Messenger which is compatible for your camera. Doing this however also requires that you uninstall all the Windows Live Beta products from your computer.

Note: You will not see a separate Windows Live Messenger on your Add/Remove programs, instead you will either see there Windows Live Beta products or Windows Live Essentials.

You can download the older versions of Windows Live Messenger from:

Windows Live Messenger 8.1:

Windows Live Messenger 8.5:
