Question about Shredder 1052 (Cross-Cut)
I think I overloaded my 10-page crosscut shredder by putting a bit too much in a couple weeks ago. TOday I emptied the bucket, which was full, but it still won't work. When I hit Reverse, there's power and it sounds like normal grinding. But when I try to insert a piece of paper on Normal, nothing happens - no sound. I can see that there's a bit of paper stuck in the front, though there's nothing I can pull through, just little bits. Is there a way to remove the stuck paper, eliminate the jam, or otherwise reset it? I'm under time pressure on this. thanks much
When you set it to reverse, it Should propel the paper back out the top, where it's jammed. If it does not, remove power to the unit, and get ready for the long laborious process of removing the jam with a pair of tweezers. A hazard of paper shredders, maintenance can be a bit on the silly side.
