After years of listening on-line to XM Radio on a desktop running windows xp and Internet Explorer browser, all of a sudden xm does not connect and no error messages come up. Is there an alternate way to listen to XM on-line.

Original Question addition: I already have radio service. That is why I have on-line access free. And it works on other computers, but not the one I use most.

Yeah use sirius radio service. Prolly a reason that it isn't running it anymore because Xm and Sirius merged company's. So Sirius is the same as Xm now.

My best guess is to check your firewall settings sometimes the firewall doesn't let you use the radio

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Ive been trying to play the everafterhigh online game but for some reason my internet browser is not compatible with is there something you can do to help me with this its really frustrating ?

I don't know the game but you could try and check if you are running the latest version of your current browser.
You could also try using a different browser. Internet Explorer is installed as your standard browser if you are using Windows. Some other (free) browsers are Firefox and Google Chrome.
If that doesn't help it could be something else, like your flash plugin not being updated.

How can i enter my product id ?

Explorer does not required a product ID, if your trying to register another program online through IE you need to check that Windows XP is running Service Pack 3 so your browser complies with the latest security protocols that came in to force when support for XP was dropped.

I get a message saying that my browsers out of date? can you help please

Be very careful of warning messages you get online. It may be bogus. What browser are you running and what version? The latest Internet Explorer browser for Windows is IE9 which just came out. But it only works on Vista and Windows 7. If you have XP then IE8 is the latest browser for you.

Active X controls can only be enabled or disabled individually because the active x controls are blocked automatically by windows xp. If you have an individual Active X control there are two options you can choose. Allowing Active X Controls with the Information Toolbar. 1. If you want to allow a particular active X to run, click the message on the Information Toolbar that appera on top of the page in the Internet Explorer browser and select Install.
Enabling/Disabling Active X Controls from the Manage Plugins option in Internet Explorer.

Online radio stream not playing

Hello :

Is it one radio station or all the stations . If it's all the stations you try to listen to , then it seems that your web browser is not stable . Here is what to do : Just go to www.microsoft.com and download Internet explorer again and install it , then reboot your system . I'm sure that this will solve the problem . any way , why don't you try other Internet communication softwares like ( firefox or google chrome) those both are great also . I advice you to have more than one Internet communication software . I already have three just in case if one of them is corrupted . I have ( Internet explorer and firefox and google chrome ) . just try the idea and you'll be satisfied with the result

If this solution is helpful please click a thumbs-up rating below.

good luck

I don'tknow how to use the satellite radio...

Got this off the crutchfiel web site.

Item #700XMSON1 $129.98 This XM Direct 2 package includes everything you need to add XM Satellite Radio to your compatible Sony receiver: an XM Mini-Tuner, a CNP2000UC universal adapter, and a Sony connector cable. The Mini-Tuner connects to the universal adapter, then you use the connector cable to hook up the adapter to your Sony receiver.
Use your home computer to program the universal adapter for your Sony receiver — you can reprogram this adapter to work with another brand in the future. Once connected, you'll be able to change channels and see programming information on your stereo's display. You can also use the included XM Mini-Tuner with your XM-ready home receiver or in another vehicle with a compatible dock.
A computer running Windows XP and Internet Explorer is required. The unit is not compatible with Windows Vista.
Note: A subscription to XM is also required — learn about XM's programming. Satellite radio service is available only within Canada and the lower 48 states — not available in Hawaii or U.S. territories. Portable reception may vary by location. If you have questions about the proposed XM/SIRIUS merger, read the XM Customer Promise. To view this file, you will need the Adobe Acrobat PDF reader.

Download of Microsoft Home and Student program blocked by IE 7

When you click the link to download, do you get a yellow bar at the top of the browser window under the buttons that state "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here for options."? If so, click the yellow bar and choose "Download file".

Corrupted Desktop?

No, this is a hardware setting. When you checked your display monitor for manual settings did you see any? There would be display width, height, pincushion, trapezoid, etc. Which monitor do you have? Also you can still have Internet Explorer installed with any other browser as your default. When you go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Windows Features select Internet Explorer to reinstall that. Firefox does not support ActiveX scripting which is necessary to run many Microsoft diagnostic programs so never completely uninstall IE. You may also just download IE7 which is a tabbed browser like FireFox. Choosing FireFox allows better security but that is only because it does not use ActiveX.
