I would think it is going to be the main fuse, open the back of the tv, you will see where the power cord is connected to the board, there will be a glass fuse next to it, you will be able to see if it is bad,----make sure you unplug the tv befor you mess with it

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Mitsubishi vs-70601 picture pincushioned and out of convergence

could just be a convergence issue. there should be an auto-convergence feature in the menu. outside of that, you'll have to manually converge the colors seperately (also a feature in the menu).

Mitsubishi VS-50707 shuts down sporadically

you can do a self-diagnosis test by pressing the menu and input/device button on set for 5 sec and see what error code it gives you. Count the blinks followed by a short pause then more blinks. This is the error code.

TV does not come on.

I had the same problem, it had a couple of bad condensors. I took it to a local shop and total repair bill was $180.00 Well worth it. TV works great now. Glad I had it fixed. ( your cost may be cheaper I live in Po-Dunk USA)
