Hi Sir! We have in the school a IR2020. It work good. 1. How can I set the double site printing from computer? 2. How can I scanning. thx.

Double side printing is possible if you have duplex unit insstalled.Do you have duplex unit?
Under printer properties there must be page setup, where you say that you want to print double sided.

You can scan over ScanGear software. Do you have it? If not you can download it from canon official site.
But it works only as PULL scanner.

How to scan picture to upload on computer

First, ensure you are connecting the scanner to your computer. I'm assuming USB connection, and that you're using an operating system supported by this device.

Next, install the drivers and software for this device. Those should have come with an installation disc, but if you don't have that disc, you can get them from the PIXMA MP830 support site, here:
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=123&modelid=12804

To scan a single document, place the document:
1. Place the document face down on the platen glass.
2. Open the MP Navigator 2.2 software.
3. Click Scan Photo/Document.
4. Click Document Type drop-down arrow and select the type of document to be scanned. Chose from the following types.
  • Color Document(Simplex): Select this to scan one side of color documents.
  • Color Document(Duplex): Select this to scan both sides of color documents.
  • B/W Document(Simplex): Select this to scan one side of monochrome documents.
  • B/W Document(Duplex): Select this to scan both sides of monochrome documents.
  • Text(Simplex): Select this to scan one side of text documents.
  • Text(Duplex): Select this to scan both sides of text documents.
5. Click 'Specify' and set the preferences as required. Click here for detailed information

6. After making the setting changes, click 'Scan'

7. Click 'Save to PC' or 'Save as PDF file'. Save to PC is displayed when an image is captured with Scan Photo/Document or Batch Scanning

The directions for Batch Scanning, or using the ADF to scan, are shown below.
  1. Place the document(s) in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
    1. To scan using the ADF, remove any documents from the platen glass.
    2. Open the document tray.

      mp830_documenttrayopened.jpg
    3. Insert the documents face-up in the ADF and then adjust the document guides.

      mp830_adfguides.jpg
      Note:
When scanning using the ADF, the documents will automatically feed.

  2. On the Windows desktop, double-click 'MP Navigator 2.2'.
    1. Alternatively, on the Windows taskbar, click 'Start', point to '(All) Programs', 'Canon', then 'MP Navigator 2.2'.
    2. Then click 'MP Navigator 2.2'. MP Navigator opens.

  3. Click 'Batch Scanning'.

  4. Click Document Type drop-down arrow and select the type of document to be scanned. Chose from the following types.

    * Color Document(Simplex): Select this to scan one side of color documents.

    * Color Document(Duplex): Select this to scan both sides of color documents.

    * B/W Document(Simplex): Select this to scan one side of monochrome documents.

    * Text(Simplex): Select this to scan one side of text documents.

    * Text(Duplex): Select this to scan both sides of text documents.

  5. Click 'Specify' and set the preferences as required. Click here for detailed information.

  6. After making the setting changes, click 'Scan'.
    1. After the documents are scanned, a dialog box will appear indicating to load the next document.

      mp830_scancomplete.gif
    2. After the next document is loaded, click 'Scan'.
    3. Repeat steps 6a and 6b until all documents have been scanned and then click 'Exit' to end the scanning process.

  7. After all documents have been scanned, ensure the documents, in the preview area, are selected (have a check mark).

  8. Click 'Save to PC' or 'Save as PDF file'. Save to PC is displayed when an image is captured with Scan Photo/Document or Batch Scanning.

No duplex scanning

Try going to the hp solution center
Then settings, scan settings, scan preferences (third from top), under the automatic tab, bottom of list is “Scan both sides of the original when using duplex feeder”
I’m using version 70.0.128.000 of the HP Solution Center if that helps.

I told my brother once to ask HP support about a problem for his laptop, and they proceeded to instruct him how to make the problem worse and royally screw up stuff that was completely unrelated to his problem.

Duplexing

Someone has changed the settings on the unit. If you go into Additional Functions press set on Common Settings scroll to Paper feed switch and set it for Speed Priority not Print Side for each category. The only other thing that would cause this is that each individual setting was set for 2-sided in which case you would want to check Additional Functions and each one Copy Settings, Printer Settings and Fax settings.

Canon imageCLASS MF6530; can't set up duplex (2sided) printing

hi there
there are 2 ways to copy 2 sided
one is full duplex which means your copier must have a duplex attatchment fitted on the copier lid
the other if it hasn't got a duplexer is to copy in 1 to 2 mode which means you have to turn the copy over. it sounds like your machine has not got a duplexer fitted but it can still do double sided using 1 to 2.

hope this helps

Copying using the Duplex function

Press on duplex button and scan your originals one by one on the platen mode (exposure glass). You cannot use the ADF for this function.
After every scan press the Start button.
After the last page please press the enter button as displaying in the display.
Then the copier itself can finish making duplex copies as you wanted.
Good luck and please rate me, thanks.
