I have a Connex Saturn Cx-33 SSB How do I tune it to get more watts?

There are 2 adjustments for the S meter on a Connex cx-33. SV1 and SV2. The thing about setting that meter is you need to have an accurate RF generator the can ouput -93 dBm

From what i read i would leave it alone.

Hi there, if you are talking about the Connex CX 3400 HP there is no sideband or SSB on this radio. It is only AM and FM 10 meter Ham radio. Many people do modify these radios to include the 11 meter frequencies which is the CB band. Maybe knowing the actual bands and their frequencies will help some too this radio does have 6 different bands ranging from (Band A. 28.015 thru 28.455) (Band B. 28.145 thru 28.585) (Band C. 28.115 thru 28.555) (Band D. 28.085 thru 28.525) (Band E. 28.055 thru 28.495) (Band F. 28.025 thru 28.465.) I have a connex cx-4300 hp it's has poor receive I want to turn up receive a little bit I guess what I'm asking is what tuning pod tunes the receive

A new unit goes for $280 range
then conversion to run cb freqency $30.
Tune-up $50 you should get 70 watts older units 90 watts newer units

As far as the knobs go
Band D with channel 19 selected this is 27.185 citizen band if you radio has had the channel expansion done other wise it is not accessible.
Select AM
10 khz switch should be off
mic gain know depends on the tuning of your radio and mic choice.
rf gain full clockwise best reception you will just have to play with this knob and the squelch to your liking
Make sure the thing is working properly before you buy capacitors dry out and the connex radios are know for problems with their pcboards. good luck

email me i have a generic one that is the same for all exports. ie galaxy 33-99's and connex 3300 superstar 3900's and general lee's style of radios. I thinks its for a superstar 3900 just ignore the SSB & CW portion and its the same radio as the 3300.. any questions let me know

same radios. if has 6 bands its either a gal 33 or connex. if has 8 bands its a gal. or a 4800 connex does it have SSB ?

They probably still have more experience then you do! You should be okay as long as you tell them that you just want a basic peak and tune. Nothing crazy. If you ask for super mod of some kind then you will end up with a radio with problems.

You can also send it out to have it peaked and tuned.

50 watts isn't bad tho. I have never worked on a connex and don't know much about them so I couldn't tell you who to peak it out.
