Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Try plugging in the player & powering it up fully (wait 2 minutes). Once fully booted, connect it to your laptop...this should work - if not, you likely have a problem w/ the hard drive internal to the player.

Crash

Clicking is very bad - probably needs to be scrapped

Last ditch effort:

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard

Samsung mp3 player crash

Hi undercover. I don't have experience of your actual model, but I've had a similar thing happen to my Inovix MP3/4 player when it crashed (also crashing my whole computer!) and went completely 'dead'. Plugging it into the USB port had no effect - no charge symbol and the computer didn't even acknowledge something was being plugged in. Basically, I kept on trying every time I was on the computer! 2 days later, I plugged it in and 'ding-dong' Windows XP recognised something was in the USB port. I then carried out a Firmware re-load using the supplied disc, and my player burst into life! Firmware crashes are pretty common with various players, I believe. Depending on how old your player is, try the manufacturer's website to see if they've updated the Firmware. Good luck.

Always shows 40% and will not load

Plug in your player in USB port. After the system reckognizes it right click on My Computer.Select Manage.Computer Management should open.Go to Disk Management. There you`l have disk 0(your hard dribe) and another disk drive which should be YP-1.Right click on YP`s disk folume and select format.Wait a bit, then a dialogue will pop-up.Select format, start the operation and wait until it finishes. After the format is complete your player should work fone.It helped me some months ago and i hope it`ll help you too cuz the situation is exactly the same
