The Bluetooth Stack protocol feature on a Toshiba Satellite laptop is an excellent feature that enables you to import and export files and media of all types to other electronic devices. Although the initial configuration of this software may not be the easiest to understand, the benefits of this technology can be unlimited once it is activated correctly.

Double-click on the "Bluetooth Stack" icon located on the desktop screen of your computer. Enable the "Bluetooth Discovery Mode" located in the "Connection Settings" folder at the top of the application menu bar. The computer will give a notification when the Discovery Mode has successfully been turned on. Turn ob the other electronic devices' Bluetooth settings as well to make them discoverable by your laptop. Pair another electronic device with your laptop. Select the "Add Device" tab, located in the "Bluetooth Stack" application folder's task bar. Click "Add" to gain access to the "Bluetooth Add Device Wizard." When the wizard dialogue screen appears, click "Next" to begin setting up the device connection. Your Bluetooth Add Device Wizard will now discover the electronic devices that are discoverable within range. Locate the device you are trying to pair when the next page loads with the list of devices your computer's Bluetooth Stack has discovered. The other electronic devices will be listed according to their actual serial or model numbers. If you do not see the device you desire to pair, click the "Search Again" button. When your computer discovers the device, click on that device to highlight it, and click "Next" to continue. The next screen that appears will display a list of options. Click the third option, which should be "Let me choose my own passkey." Enter a password that is easy to remember. A notification will be sent to the other electronic device. It will ask that device for the same passkey. Enter that passkey and click "Pair." The last screen that will appear on your computer screen will prompt you to confirm the pairing of the software. Click "Finish" to confirm the pairing of the detected device to close the "Add Bluetooth Device Wizard" dialogue box. Open the "Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard" to use the software. Select "Browse" to locate the file destination you'd like to transfer. Give the file a name in the box allotted above the file's location. Click "Next" to proceed. The next screen will notify you of the status of the file transfer. The file transfer should be complete. Click "Finish" to complete the process. For future use, go to the file or device you would like to work with and right-click on the item. A drop-down menu will appear. Click the Bluetooth icon to locate your Bluetooth Stack software. Follow the steps listed above to continue with the process again. Hope this helps.

How do you pair a jawbone to a samsung t259 phone?

To set up Bluetooth on your phone

1. Go to Menu, select Connect or Connections or Connectivity:

Note! If the above steps do not work, please consult the user manual.

2. Bluetooth - Select On to enable Bluetooth.

3. My telephone's visibility - Select Shown to all if you want your device to be found by other Bluetooth devices. If you select Hidden, your device cannot be found by other devices.

4. My Bluetooth name - Define a name for your device. After you have activated your Bluetooth service and changed My phone's visibility to Shown to all, your phone and this name can be seen by other Bluetooth device users.

Sending data via Bluetooth

If your phone supports the Bluetooth 1.1 specification or earlier, you can only have one Bluetooth connection running on your phone at any one time.

1. Select or open the file you wish to send. For example, to send a photo to another device, open the Gallery application.

2. Select the file you wish to send, then select Options > Send > via Bluetooth.

3. The phone starts to search for devices within range.

Devices using Bluetooth technology that are within range will appear on the display. You should see a device icon, the device's name, the device type, or a short name. (A paired device is one where a Bluetooth connection already exists between your phone and the other device.)

• To interrupt the search, press Stop. The device list freezes and you can start to form a connection to one of the devices already found.

If you have searched for devices earlier, a list of the devices that were found previously is shown first. To start a new search, select More devices. If you switch off the phone, the list of devices is cleared and the device search needs to be started again before sending data.

4. Scroll to the device you want to connect with and press Select. The item you are sending is copied to Outbox and the note Connecting is shown.

5. Pairing (if this is not required by the other device, proceed to step 6.)

• If the other device requires pairing before data can be transmitted, a tone sounds and you are asked to enter a passcode. • Create your own passcode (1-16 characters long, numeric) and agree with the owner of the other device to use the same code. This passcode is used only once and you do not have to memorise it. • After pairing, the device is saved to the Paired devices view.

6. When the connection has been successfully established, the note Sending data is shown. Data received via Bluetooth can be found in the Inbox folder in Messaging. Tip: Pairing is a means of authentication. The users of the devices using Bluetooth technology should agree together what the passcode is, and use the same passcode for both devices in order to pair them. Devices that do not have a user interface have a preset passcode.

Checking the status of the Bluetooth connection

• When the Bluetooth icon is shown in standby mode, Bluetooth is active.

• When the Bluetooth icon is blinking, your phone is trying to connect to the other device. • When the Bluetooth icon is shown continuously, the Bluetooth connection is active.

Receiving data via Bluetooth

When you receive data via Bluetooth, a message alert tone is played and you are asked if you want to accept the message. If you accept, the item is placed in the Inbox folder in Messaging.

Disconnecting Bluetooth

A Bluetooth connection is disconnected automatically after sending or receiving data.

My lg incite bluetooth does not detect the motorola S9 bluetooth

this took me nearly an hour to figure out, but here goes:

go to "settings icon" - tap "bluetooth" - turn it on - go to "accessibility" tab - make sure your phone has a "name" - then make sure "allow other devices to connect", "all devices" and "other devices can discover me" are selected - then go back to the "general" tab - tap on the "bluetooth manager" link - go to "active connections tab" - click on "menu" at the bottom right corner - click on "paired devices" when the menu comes up - click on "add".

Now quickly put your bluetooth headset into pairing mode and as soon as the device and passkey asking screen comes up, tap on the little windows "find" (or "search") icon next to the "device" field. once your phone detects your headset, it will take you back the device and passkey screen, where the name of your headset will now appear in the device field. all you have to do is input your device passkey.

Now go back to "bluetooth manager" screen, where in your "my shortcuts" tab, your "hands-free connection" icon should be present. if it's not, then click on "new" in the bottom left corner and select the "hands-free/headset setup". On the screen that comes up, select "next" which will take you to the next screen. Here your headset device icon will be present with a small red checkmark beside it. Tap this and your phone will establish a connection with your headset. It will then take you back to "bluetooth manager" - "my shortcuts" screen where your "hands-free connection" icon will now be green with two small arrows beside it pointing towards each other. If you click on the active connections tab, you'll see your headset device icon there. Also, a pair of headphones will pop up on your windows toolbar at the very top.

After this setup, to ensure your phone's security, go back to the "settings" - "bluetooth" - "accessibility" tab. Select "paired devices only" under the Accessibility heading, and deselect "other devices can discover me".

Hope this helps everyone...so far this is the only non-user friendly feature of the phone that I've come across, rest is pretty good and highly customizable.
