Question about Wacom Bamboo Fun 5.8" x 3.7" USB Tablet with Cordless Pen and Mouse - Black

My Pen Doesn't Work

The pen activates at 5mm, not like moving around the screen, it clicks everything. The LED light is always green for it too. I tried changing the settings, but that didn't help at all. I even deleted the 'tablet.dat' file. I need help! My problem is the my computer says my pen is the mousesince It doesn't register correctly, I cant use the flick gestures. It also says I need to update my driver. When I hover my pen, it clicks and drags without my actually touching the tablet. For a few seconds at a time, it will act as if I'm dragging it when I'm not, then it will stop dragging and start again. It is a chronic problem that sometimes goes away if I don't use my tablet for a while. The "eraser" end of my pen works fine, I do not think it is a problem with the tablet itself.

Yeah, my tablet does the same exact things. Still have no idea what to do about it though. If the eraser works, then it might have to do something with the coil inside, but my tablet pen is fairly new, it's a replacement pen directly from wacom, so I know that I havn't used it enough to damage it.

Ya, i had teh same problem ... i had recenlty downloaded "pen attention" its a software that some guy made to make the pen curser look bigger in one note ... i uninstalled this program and now the problem is gone!!! so just make sure that you delete any programs that you have downloaded tht might be interfeering the the tablet's performance (especilaly programs or addons that my have been developed by non-wacom personelle for the tablet)

I noticed this problem as well. I have a Bamboo Pen and Touch and whenever I hovered and hit one of my assigned buttons (I picked middle click) it would trigger the button click before I touched the tablet. I fixed this by going into Bamboo's Tablet properties, then under "Pen" there's an "advanced" button where you can pick between "Hover Click" or "Click & Tap". Choose click and tap to see if this fixes your problem.

Does the mouse work (on the tablet)? What happens when the side buttons are pressed do they work? Try un-installing the Wacom driver (Pen Tablet Utility) and Install the latest version from www.wacom.com and see if that helps.

Pen not working properly all of a sudden

Try reinstalling it, And also change the battery in it, but it has to be the same kind. And go to your settings and change the sensory thingie, like if it says 'Light' And yours is verry clost to that, then move it to 'Heavy' And then It will do it better and wont do that when you move your mouse of the screen.

Wacom tablet pen right click always active.

I'm having this same problem with my original Graphire (ET), with a replacement pen that's less than two years old.
I don't think it's a driver issue, based on the indicator light on the tablet itself. It turns green like it's detecting a click when either end of the pen is brought near the tablet. To me, that suggests an issue with the pen hardware. The mouse has no such problem.
I'd be very interested if anyone has a solution to this.

Wacom tablet won't recognize pen

Hmm. I've had a similar thing happen with my tablet. Have you tried removing the tablet pen from the list of tools in tablet preferences and then adding it to the list again before checking the 'About' section of the tablet pen set-up and clicking the 'diagnose' button there in? As that worked for me when my tablet pen was not working. The pen was recognized by the tablet after that.

My Pen Doesn't Work

I had the same problem. Tried to re-install, install the newest software, but non of that worked. So what I did is knocked 3 times very hard with the other side of the pen on the tablet... and it's working fine now. I guess the tablet just needed a little boost. Hope this will do the trick for you too.

i had the exact same problems with my graphire4 pen.
take a tool to remove the tip of the pen. just blow inside the pen, put the tip back and press it in back but not too hard. works like magic!

Initial Delay of tablet pen

I had a similar problem with Vista which made the pen/cursor freeze just as the tip was placed on the tablet face.
The problem turned out to be a Vista setting.
I went to Start > Control Panel > Pen and Input Devices.
Then in the Pen Options tab highlight the "Press and Hold" pen action and then press the "Settings..." button. In the dialog box that opens uncheck the "Enable press and hold for right-clicking" check box. Hit "OK".
Worked for me.

"Mine did this, too. I twisted the bottom half a few times (trying to take it apart) and it started working normally again."

I just wanted to reaffirm that twisting the eraser end 5-6 times solved the problem for me. Most likely it's not a cure-all, but another suggestion to try out.
